Indoor Calling All Experts!!! Need advice for Snow Ryder.

hey man gl on sleeping lol yah i could pick up a 400 but the heat is more the issue for me already was pushing mid 80's most of grow especially inb the last couple weeks of heat wave. next thing i get will prob be a 240w blackstar led just gotta scrape up the 300 for it lol

Dang! Good luck with that bro! I'll be watching those grows for sure! Yeah I know what you mean about the heat issue. I wouldn't be able to use it in the last spot we lived in for the same reasons. Much better now where we are at. But, I've found if you have good air circulation you can deal with higher temps. Mine stay around 91 but humidity is low and air circulates good. Once and a while I open the door to the room to give em a break. So far so good.

Do you think she's ready to chop down??

Hey guys. I think our biggest girl is ready to chop. What do you think? She'll be 10 weeks of Friday but her fan leaves are quickly dying and her hairs have changed very quickly. I don't want to wait too long to harvest and I think I can see that the Trichs are pretty milky. Please let me know if I should chop her within the next 24 hrs... The other two are still flowering pretty good. Their leaves are still lush and green. So here's our Snow Ryder that hopefully is ready to chop.

Here's a pic of the whole plant so you can see the fan leaves...

man rebel first off looking good bro, secondly man thats a tough call still loads of white hairs i'm no expert being as i just did my first harvest but i'd say if u think its rdy and haven't noticed anymore swelling i'd take her just my beginner's opinion.

Thanks man! Good point. I'll have too get another look. I know what you mean about the white hairs we were wondering that too. I'm sure I'll get some more opinions soon. I don't mind waiting just don't want too wait too long and waste it like I did with my first photo grow... This is the part I'm WORST at! LOL Harvesting time!

she's real close. I see your leaves are dying off pretty good. might consider shutting down your lights some if you haven't already. That should speed things up a bit.

I'd switch to straight water or water/molasses at this point, reduce the lights on her to 12/12 (if she's the only one in there.. if there's others, remove her 12 put her back 12). Fans are almost all used up and the trichs are clearly at least all cloudy from the pictures. Run her another week then pull her, IMO. She's ready but she's not, if that makes sense.. you can pull her, but I'd put her in 12/12 for the last week or even 11/13 to force her to finish up the usage of the leaves. She's using them and the light cycle will force her to finish using them up and milk the last of her dry. Plants that use up the leaves like that can pack on some major trichomes in the last week with reduced lighting.

Hey guys thanks for the replies. She's not the only one in there and If I don't have to force her I'd rather just let her do her thing. She's in there with two others who have a few weeks to go and some seedlings... Snow Ryder doesn't amber up like other strains. Bailer confirmed this for me since he has a lot of experience with this strain. So they looked fairly milky/cloudy to me. My biggest fear is waiting too long but I don't want to be hasty and cut her too early either. For the record as well I did cut nutes out... the last time I "fed" her was just with black strap molasses and pH'd water. Then in between just pH'd water. Appreciate your input guys.

I grow em as well in with three other types hydroponically. They don't seem any more feed sensitive than any of the other types. I feed chemically at the rate of 600 ppm on my meter. They do Ok with that level of feeding. I consider 600 ppm moderate to heavy nutrient level. I am no expert either but it seems to work OK. I also grow Mi5 X Sniowryder cross at the same feed rate.

Hey Nelson! Thanks for stoppin' by man. That's an interesting cross the Mi5 x Snow Ryder. I'm becoming a huge fan of Stitch's work and I definitely want to try that Mi5 and Onyx sometime soon! In the beginning of this thread I mention how I had been told on another site that they are light eaters. Bailer told me with his experience they are not light eaters. Combined with your experience and I would say they are not light eaters as well. So I think with all 3 of us concurring Snow Ryders eat pretty well. I was easy on these 3 but the next 3 girls I got lined up are going to get a little more. I wanna see what they can take. But do it at a small rate as to not mess with them too much. I have a Mutant in this next batch! She's got 3 heads! She's also "8 tall! So I think she'll handle a little more nutes with no problems.
