So her cola has like 90% or more of the hairs dark red or rusty colored but 10% or less still white.

That's pretty normal from my experience.

I'm asking all these questions because I'm wondering do you just watch the trichs and nothing else?? I was thinking it's a combo between Trichs, leaves, and hairs but I'm assuming I'm dead wrong now

It's a combination and it's not an exact science because a perfect effect for one person isn't desirable for another. Most pistils are gonna turn red on the plant, many before it's time to harvest and new pistils can pop out well into amber sometimes. So, I don't go by pistils.

I use leaf die-off as an indication it is time to start checking the trich's and try to use them as a final guide.

Brother, if you time it perfectly at this point, it'll just be luck. You really don't know what stage is perfect for you until you've grown the strain a few times. From what I've seen, that plant looks far enough along that you will just have to make a decision and take it at some point very soon. It's gonna be good either way.

Ok JD I get what you are saying and I do know that I will need a reference point. I did notice that the calaxes are NO longer swelling. Is this also an indicator? I'm thinking she's getting chopped very soon then. Yesterday was exactly 10 weeks. Bailer said that's when he usually goes with them. He said some go longer but I believe he told me it didn't really make a huge difference so 10 weeks should be good. But I remember his smoke report said it lacked staying power. So if I go longer maybe it will help with the staying power. Bailer is a master and I'm a total noob. Not to question him on anything!! I'm going to make a decision in the next 24 hours. I know... I have been reminded by both you and Whatsgoodie lol "Paralysis by Analysis". Thai Buddha Man makes his presence known one way or another!

Today is a bittersweet day... We have been blessed with two more sprouts. One of the Assassin and One of NYLDxP.E. The owner of the Hydro shop I got my soil at is a douche bag to be honest. I ordered my Light Warrior for the thread I have going about the seedling comparison grow 3 weeks ago. He gave me 3 different stories three times. Today being the 3rd. To make a long bs story short he doesn't have my soil. He hasn't ordered it yet because he doesn't want to pay the shipping for just one bag of soil so he's waiting on other people to order shit so he can order mine! GRRR. Then to top it all of he's OUT of OF and only has Happy Frog. I'm not wanting to switch up my soil at this point because I'm still getting dialed in with the OF/HN combo I'm using. So, I gotta hit the net and possibly drive 3 hours to Columbus, OH to get the soil we need. 6 hours round trip for friggin' soil. But I don't care because my grows are serious to me and I'm not going to go buy some WalMart soil again and deal with that crap AGAIN. I have some OF left over that I can use for the two new seedlings but I have 2 new SR females that need transplanted YESTERDAY and no soil to put them in. I had to use all I had left on the Mutant! I know things will work out I'm just venting. lol Ok the kush is starting to hit me now I'm done mouthin' off. lol So most likely Monday I'll be on the road looking for OF and LW! Woo Hoo! The things we do for our girls!!!

So, I gotta hit the net and possibly drive 3 hours to Columbus, OH to get the soil we need. 6 hours round trip for friggin' soil.

That's quite a commitment/investment to make. But, I know of a few people who have completely lost grows because an hour was too far to drive for good stuff. It's okay to absolutely waste a few months, beans, and the money spent on what was available "local", but to invest in a drive... that's out of the question, for many. IMO, you're growing priorities are spot on.

P.S. As I have previously stated, I drive at least two hours, round-trip, to get my most important supplies. If you've visited my grow logs, you're not going to see any High Times fold-outs, but you've never seen me having grow issues either, and all I do is use a quality mix and ferts with everything pH buffered.

Whenever I feel like it, I take a nap. No worries...

I hear ya JD! That's what my goals are. Both of ours really. I say both because my girl is my partner in this. She stays behind the scenes tho lol She buys and I fly lol It's comforting to know she's behind this too 100%. Makes things easier! So we found one even closer than Columbus! About 3 n 1/2 hours round trip driving time but we'll probably spend an hour in the store for the first time! So we'll be getting everything we need and then my girls will be happy!! When the girls are all happy I'm happy!! :smoke:

This is more than just a grow so I really don't care about how long it takes to drive somewhere it just got on my nerves that he kept bull shitting me for 3 weeks when he didn't give a shit and would order it when he got more business. He should have told me that from the beginning not "Oh hell yeah man I can get you anything you want anytime." That I felt was un-necessary since he obviously can't... or won't! Oh well his loss! I was trying to give the local guys some support but it's him FORCING us to take our money elsewhere! I'm gonna get off here in a few and take some updated pics of the kids so you guys can see what's going on at this point.

Alright buds! Here's the pics I promised. Also updating the Assassin thread after this so check that one out too if you're following!

All the kids! The 3 SR Females in the back against the wall. The Mutant on the bottom left. The other 2 SR girls in the middle. The Assassin seedling bottom middle. And the new addition in the Styrofoam cup is a germinated NYLPD! (NYC Diesel x Lowryder x Pineapple Express). VERY excited about this strain!! I have 2 more germinating at the moment and will germ 3 more once the SR Females are done!

This SR lady will be ready pretty soon!
This SR lady will be getting chopped here in the next day or two.
Here's my 3rd SR lady. Keeping my eye on her. She may have a bit longer to go.

I see some amber! Your right on the money imo.

I would call those mostly cloudy with some amber. Right where i would cut mine. You could let it go a bit longer to see how it effects the high.

Sweet! They look like they got some amber?! That's great news! I thought I was seeing some but I didn't know if it was a reflection from the flash off the deadening leaves or what. I think we might wait a bit longer to see if she ambers up more. I'm going to keep a close eye! Post more trich pics tomorrow night to see any 24 hour changes! Thanks Bailer!! Hoping all this waiting will pay off with a bit more potency!

EDIT: I just went ahead and purchased a 40x jeweler's loupe on eBay! Hopefully will be here sometime this week. They are in Cali. USUALLY Cali people are on it on eBay and ship pretty quick. So, I'm looking forward to that! Trich pics will be much better after getting that in!

Im to cheap to buy a magnifyer so took the eye bell off an old rifle scope and by luck it fits on the lens of my sony cyber shot camera and thats what i use to look at my trics
