Hey JD! You are a HUGE help as well! The kit was pretty straight forward so I'm glad for that. Thanks for letting me know about the pH and such. I neglected to realize how crucial pH is to our babies! Thanks again man for checkin' up on me and the kids! So I should be fine to just use Distilled Water or our Tap Water with the nutes when I start feeding and I won't have to do anything to adjust pH?

Hello bro,
I would not used distilled water unless u had problems with your water being hard. Even so, you should mix it 50/50 with tap.
Ofcourse, your tap water must sit and/or bubble for 24 hours for all the chlorine and chloramine to evaporate. Very nasty stuff to the plants.
Alternatively, you can get urself an inline carbon filter that plugs into the tap and gives you clean water. Not only does it instantly remove the chlorine but also binds other contaminants and helps clean the water from any diseases if any.
Also makes tap drinking water taste way better :D

The reason not to use distilled water 100% is that most nutrients are made to take into consideration 0.5 EC or so of the tap water, so a lot of micronutrients and stuff like calcium and magnesium are put in ratios in the bottle that take into consideration their presence in your tap water. Giving 100% distilled might eventually lead to micronute deficiencies, atleast in hydro, but why take the chance.

Hey C.E.! Good to see ya man! I don't think our water has chlorine in it. It's well water so it's not regulated by the city. It tastes very good. I do believe it does have so kind of softener (we bought this place 6 months ago so I'm not exactly sure I do know its soft water). I had a well inspection done when we bought it so I can contact the inspector and have him email me a copy of the report. It should have all the elements and such that are in the water. The plants seemed to do fine with the well water before I fed but the pH kit came with a bottle of base and bottle of acid to balance it out. So do you think the well water will be alright then? Also, should I adjust the pH before adding nutes or mix everything up and then adjust pH? I'm assuming you adjust the water only right? Thanks man! I definitely will only use the DW to flush at the end then. Also, the plants are starting to get a little smell to them! :D kinda grape fruity citrus smell. I'm just so dang happy they are back on track!! Cheers to you all for getting us through the rough time!!! You all saved our plants!!

So, I've answered my own question by reading another thread... I adjust pH with AFTER adding nutes... That brings me to two more questions...

1) Since my nutes are brown how do I check the pH with the pH kit? Doesn't have to be clear so I can see the pH color? Like when I test the water... it's clear so I can clearly see the color but, HN are brown so I doubt the pH color will show in a dark mixture. Does this mean I need a digital pH tester or whatever?

2) Do you take a gallon of water and mix EVERYTHING together in ONE gallon? Or do you mix everything separately and add one at a time? I'm sorry if these questions are stupid. I just don't want to screw up again!!

should be able to hold it up to a bright light (I find white fluro is best) ultimately a digital ph ec meter would be best... Hannah 9821 or something like that

add the nutrients to the gallon.... i shake each time i add something... but you dont have to...

as far as stupid questions... the only stupid question is the one you didnt ask and paid for in the end... :)

Hey JM Thanks man! O.k. so I add everything to the gallon one at a time. Got it. So even with dark nutes I should be able to hold it up to a bright light and see the test results? Sounds good. I'm going to invest in a digital meter sometime soon. Glad to know I can make it without one for a while then. Plants look pretty good today. No more dead leaves falling off other than the two I mentioned. New growth looks green and they are all perky today enjoying the HPS lol. They seem to be really happy the last few days despite nute burns. They still have that mild grape fruity smell but we noticed it's stronger at night. Still no signs of sex but they are all working on their 4th node so hopefully in the next 7 days we'll know something. We are considering germinating the last 4 SR seeds we have. When do you all think is a good time to get them going so we can have them ready when we are out from the first crop?

Oh, and your sig... The Rothchilds have to be some of the most evil f*ckers on the planet. Wonder where the Bilderberg's are having their next gathering to play pinocle? Have you ever heard of the book "Behold a Pale Horse" by Milton William Cooper? Nice chapter in there about the Rothchilds amongst other things we aren't supposed to know about.

np mate.... yeah, ive even tested soil with the test solution beofre... shake it up good in the vial... let sit for 24 hours so the "murk" settles... and you can faintly see the ph color left behind... they do tend to stink more at night I find... soon you should see sex organs!!!

yes the rothcilds amongst a whole other slew of corrupt bastards.. havent read that book... mos of my research time goes into "possitive vibe" stuff... like breeding and propoagation and food production and stuff.... refuse to dwell on th dirtbags... or even give them credence... lol

O.k. so I mix everything together. Let it sit overnight and then test pH? Sweet! Thanks for the tip! Yeah it's crazy how they smell more at night! We're getting siked for sex organs over here! lol

Yeah I agree with you on the positive stuff. Sometimes I just like to check up on things because they love to do stuff right in front of our faces. That's the arrogance for ya. I'm just concerned this country is going towards communism. Or we're all going to wake up one morning to the New World Order. Anyway back on the positive...

I copied and pasted TBM's method of getting the same results with 3 jugs as the water bubbler... Cuz we are on a budget I'm going to try that method.

O.k. I hope I'm not breaking any rules or gonna get in trouble for this but... I HATE BEING DRY!!! Sucks when you need meds and can't get them... I'm so excited for these babies to show some sex cuz don't get me wrong... I love this site and I'm so thankful for everything you guys have done for me and my girl with our grow but DANG reading all the threads and seeing so much gorgeous bud around is like twistin' a knife in my gut lol There are some tremendous grows growin' on right now!! Sorry it's just late and we're wide awake wishing things were better!!! But... When I get really frustrated I just go to the closet and try to stay positive. O.k. I'm done with my rant and again I hope I haven't broken any rules or made anyone mad. If I have please let me know and I will delete this right away.

Back on subject... Got a gallon of water airing out for the next watering. Started TBM's 3 jug method. The kids are all green and perky right now from their watering yesterday. I'll get some pics up in the next day or two.
