Some Nutrients (I dont know what I need here)

or
Total for 300w LED lighting opion = $294

I just want 1 or 2 plants growing.
I already have some 15 - 15 - 15 but I don't know if I need to use then or when.

Am I missing anything else that I need?
Any opinions on nutrients?
Which lighting option is better?

Thanks for any help I can get.

Hi Supplanter - Welcome to AFN! :)

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

I grow 2-3 medium sized plants in a 60x60x150 - It's the floor space you need. You can just about get 2 plants in there but dont forget you'll need some space for a fan to move the plants about.

If using 7 litre pots, you could get two in there and fan - but it will be a bit of a squeeze. Or grow one big one in there.

6 Inch fan sounds a little overkill for that size, but if you get a more powerful than needed, you could dial it down to be more "quiet" which is useful for stealth.

As far as lights go - if you in a reasonably warm place, i would suggest LED - less heat to exhaust and power savings. LEDs work great for growing.

Electronic Light Timer - $9.00 U.S ... That sounds low quality. I've been through enough timers to recommend something good - Like a maxibright relay. It will not burn and will not fail. :) years of continued use. (and also it doesnt make that creepy sound!! lol)

4 In 1 Electronic Soil Tester PH Humidity Temperature Analyze - $23 U.S .. that doesn't sound too good either. I'd save your money and get a PH meter instead. The Essentials ones are cheap and reliable .. the blue lab ones are about the best and more expensive.

Nutrients. ... Depend what you can get. If you wanna keep it simple Canna A&B is pretty straight forward. Depending on whether you'll use soil, hydro or coco etc - someone should be able to advise some "off the shelf" type nutes if you cant get growshop specific nutes.

DONT forget .. Carbon Filter and Out take fan. - The most important bits for your safety and stealth.

Hope this helps

All the best
Blue ^_^

Hi Supplanter.

Blue has given you good advice, LED is a great idea since you're in SEA, but make sure you can get one that has had good reviews, there are many on the market that aren't up to the job even if they are 300W.

The advert you linked to looks like it includes fan and filter but i'm unsure due to the language barrier.

Can you not find Ebay or Amazon sellers that deliver to SEA ?

all the best,

I use a 4" fan in my setup which is just a little bigger than your proposed tent.

The first link looks like the right kind of thing. There are varying degrees of quality in out take fans and carbon filters (how effective they are)
Smell will be your primary concern during flowering, so I recommend getting the best fan and filter you can reasonably afford.

My first setup was terribly small - but the fan and filter were good quality. I've had people put their drink on my grow box. ... not knowing it was a grow box. I brought a Phresh Filter and an RVK fan (I still have the filter 4 years on and have replaced the fan for something more fancy)

Great thanks a lot blue and steelrat.

I just realized 6 inch fan sounds way too loud, how is it possible to reduce the nose/speed with it?

Ducting will reduce the sound. You can get acoustic ducting which is better at redcing the sound.

Some fans come with a speed control (some people make their own i think) and if you get a fan that is rated higher than you need, you can run it at less than full power for a quieter experience.

My first RVK fan once connected made a quiet "whoosh" that could not be heard over ambient sounds, but you could hear it at night (in my bedroom.. next to my head) It was nice to block the city noise out! :)

And here's me thinking 'carbon is just carbon'! If you can get an extra year then all good :)

It's like, we moved to the country last year, and we've been buying coal for our first real fire, and the coal doesn't last long, doesn't throw out enoujgh heat etc ..

Then we meet a mysterious country-person who tells us they know where to get 'real coal'!

So we bought some, it is in MASSIVE chunks, is REALLY shiny, lasts longer and chucks out a load of heat.

The appliance of science!

Hey Blue, can you come and be my secretary please, i'll pay you a sixteenth per hour ;+}
