Hello,

I decided to grow weed for the first time. I live in Belgium and will try to post on a regular basis some pictures of my plant.

The seed germinated on the 30th of April. Here are the pics i've shot untill this day.

Strain: Bubba Kush Auto (Dinafem)

Pot and medium.

I know my pot (next to the coke can) is very small (less than 5l (1.3gallon). Ok, maybe it's too small, but since it is my first attempt i wanted to have a small plant.
I think I can control things better if it's small. I hope I'm right.

The medium is a mix of high quality potting soil (+/- 60%), Cocofibres (+/- 35%), perlite (+/- 5%).

One week and 2 days old:

Bit more than 2 weeks old:

So everything ok untill today.

I've noticed some spots on 2 leafs? There was also a very small bug sitting on the plant. Something mosquito-like but I did'nt recognise it.

Somebody who has an idea what these spots are?

Hey NoDuermo,

Welcome and good luck with your grow.

I'm not sure what the spots are but I'm sure if it was anything to worry about your plant would tell you.

Maybe one of the more experienced members will spot your thread and tell you what it is.

Cheers
Swan

I've got a question.

As you may have noticed in my first post, I have a really small pot. That will result in a small plant, but that was kind of the idea. I need her to stay small. Yield will obviously be less than normal but I can live with that.

However, I will be away from home several times for about 4 days in the coming weeks and months. When she will grow bigger, she will obviously need more water and the soil in my little pot will dry out quite quickly I'm afraid.

I'm going to cover the top soil layer with sand. I've read that this way the soil dries out less quickly, but I'm afraid it won't be enough to prevent a lack of water once she's bigger and needs more water.
Four days is a long time when you're a thirsty plant.

She will be outside in the garden by that time, so when it rains during my absence, maybe she'll be able to make it without extra water.

But is there something I can do to prevent her from dying due to a lack of water in that small pot when I'm away for 3-4 days?

Maybe there is no solution and the pot is just to small and her days are already numbered because of this, but I really hope there's a way.
