Hello- First time grower here and hoping some more experienced growers would chime in on my issue.

-Problem: My leaves appear to be drooping with brown spots on some leaves. Some fan leaves have red stems, I am not sure if that is normal for the wedding glue strain or if it is a symptom of something.

-Medium/grow method: I am using Sohum living soil in AutopotXl with fabric pots.

-Feed and supplements used: I just added Tiger Bloom at 2 teaspoons/gallon and Hydroguard at 2ml/gallon to the res.

-Water source: Water direct from the well with a PH of 7.4 and an EC of .4 with PH adjusted to 6.2 in the res with an EC of 2.4.

-Strain/age: Fastbuds Wedding Glue Auto

-Climate: Daytime temps between 74 - 78 degrees Fahrenheit with RH around 60%. Night temps are around 72 degrees Fahrenheit with 60% humidity.

- Light used: Growers Choice ROI-e680s full spectrum LED around 20 inches from the tops.

Hey SpiderMonkey, welcome to AFN! :smoking:

I would suggest giving this a read:
https://www.autoflower.org/threads/a-word-on-nutrients.82004/

At least two things stand out to me here that are probably contributing to some lockouts:
  • A reservoir EC of 2.4 is way too high for autos. I'd bring that down closer to 1.1-1.2 + your starting water.
  • Just Tiger Bloom? With these 3-part bottle nutes, it's best to use the full trio. As per the FoxFarm feedchart (https://www.thegrowshow.org/fox-farm-feeding-schedule), there are no weeks were just Tiger Bloom is used - it's always in conjunction with Big Bloom and/or Grow Big to maintain the N-P-K ratios established by Fox Farms for the trio. The link above goes into the concept of 'keeping nutes balanced', which is great idea.
One other thing to consider for your next grow... have you considered soilless mediums? This whole 'measuring pH/EC and using liquid nutes with auto irrigation' business is prime stuff for soilless grows, like in Pro-Mix or coco. I think living soil would be better suited for a more 'organic style' grow with dry amendments and the like. I'm very much in the former, "chemical-style" grow camp myself hehe

Anyway, I'm sure someone else will chime in on this too.

Good luck pal,

tron

Thanks for the input, Tron. I will more than likely be joining the “chemical camp” next grow as long as there is a good nute combo or kit.

I will dump the res and go with straight well water. I think just using the FF Tiger Bloom is what is giving me the EC of 2.4. I bought everything as a kit and Sohum with Tiger Bloom was what came with it. I was told with Sohum all I needed was to add the Tiger Bloom around flowering to keep them healthy. However, it Makes perfect sense that all 3 should be used to keep everything balanced.

Thanks for the great info! It is much appreciated.

Anything happen with this? Im doing your exact same setup. Autopots faric xl and sohum soil except im not adding any nutrients just filterd water thats at 6.4 ph. Isnt the whole point of sohum to not add any nutrients because its all in the soil? I have noticed a leaf or two with a small brown spots here and there maybe like 2 or 3.
