Ok, a question for you other testers....did anyone else do the paper towel method?...as per normal, I always revisit my failure's trying to find the reason, and in doing so I realized this is only the 2nd time I tried it....and only had 1 of 4 grow that time. Even though I stand there reading labels trying to find no adverse chems towels I'm beginning to think maybe that method isn't right for me......any thoughts appreciated.

fwiw. I use unbleached coffee filters. Sometimes the root hairs can get caught up in the coarser paper towels-si I;ve been told. I like to wait till I've got a good size tap root. I've tried nubbies but had the root grow out of the ground even though others have said it can't happen here

I've seen a couple of pictures posted with the roots growing out of the ground. I just look at the seed and put the tap Root down.
In the end, it's all about what works for you and that's really the only important thing there. Just find what works for you the way you work.

The ones I had literally corkscrewed around the seed to go up. I can't help but wonder if some damn perlite got in its way and forced it up. More likely one of Mr Murphy's gnomes fracking with me

Literally not much happening. Still a bit on the small size. These will go into the lowboy sip as soon as I clean the space up a bit. The smallest one will be au natural and the bigger one will be topped--eventually.

I disobeyed the words on the card sent in the pack and soaked in 1:1 h2o and h2o2 for 12 hrs and then planted in solo cup 36 hrs later they came up!

2 stems are turning a touch pinkish and their leaves have a bit of a curl. I am leaning towards heat stress??
So, I turned the light on her canopy back down to 300PAR. Otherwise lady is doing just awesome!! She is currently being fed about 2 cups daily of: 400PPM Mega Crop(3g), 70PPM Botanicare Cal/Mag (1ml), & 70PPM Epsom Salt (1g) mixed into 1G of RO water and pH'd to 5.8.

Yesterdays Feed: 400PPM of Mega Crop(3g), 70PPM of Botanicare Cal/Mag (1ml), & 70PPM of Epsom Salt (1g) ~PPM540, and mixture came out automatically to pH'd to 5.8. She was fed the whole 540 PPM as I was totally a bad mama and forgot to dilute it down~oops! But... she seems to have taken it like a champ and is doing just fine this morning. I actually see a lot of growth since the mishap. I guess 540PPM it is from now on I am thinking I will hand water her till day 25 or so then turn on the rez, and I might not top her and just tuck leaves to see what she's got!
