Hey y’all! First post here. Not my first grow, but my first auto grow. I accidentally snapped the main stem about 2 nodes from the top LSTing. I keep reading that this will affect my yield. Unfortunately this was my most vigorous plant. What do you think, will it recover and my yield will be alright. Or should I top it and let the other nodes grow? Hi @_Highqueue
I would top her and give the side branches the power. The plant need time to fix the broken steam and waste power that could be used for the side branches.

But this is only my opinion, it's up to you wislch way you go.

Have a nice day

Thanks for the advice man, it’s gonna be a tough call. Only 2 fan leaves seem to show signs of stress/wilt. I might let it run the course for the day and see what it looks like tomorrow. Still on the fence, that’s why I’m asking for some advice lol!

It should heal up with the tape on it. If not then the broken past will be clearly dead in a couple days
Yeah it wasn’t a full break but it was damn close. Only 2 fan leaves seem to show any signs of stress/wilt. I’m hoping it pulls thru and doesn’t affect my yield too much. Currently on day 22 from seed. So hopefully it recovers before it starts to flower.

I snap them more often then I probably should. Usually they bounce back as long as it's not a total break. If the top dies just toss the top and the rest will be ok. Here's one I have growing currently that I snapped

Appreciate it man, definitely makes me feel a little better. And yeah it wasn’t a full break but it was close lol. I’m hoping my yield is too affected by it but it is what it is. I think if none of the other leaves wilt from now til lights off than it’ll pull thru

It won't necessarily change the yield in either way. What will usually happen is it'll just kinda slow it down a week. If the top stays alive great, it'll make a big knuckle in the break spot. If the top dies you'll just end up with a bushier plant. Health of the plant and timing plays into it also. Looks like hasn't sexed yet. Just keep an eye around the wound for balls. But I've broken a lot of branches and tops and they almost always bounce back. Hit it with a foliar if you've got something around

Yeah it literally started showing pistils on the top node yesterday, I have a bunch of stuff I could foliar with. I just made some Lactic acid bacteria, I have recharge, and photosynthesis plus. I’ll probably brew up a compost tea and hit with that. But on the bright side I came down after cleaning some fishing reels for a buddy and one of the 2 leaves that was wilting has perked back up so fingers crossed!
