Breeding techniques

Hi @bf80255
thanks to join this thread.
To point 4 i mean it could be a different flavor but it has to come together and has to tasted good. I got crosses that dont tast good together and i dont like it. I can't explain it exactly because my english is not good enough.

To point 6 the generation splitt at f2 and some nice plants wasn't so strong like the others thats the way i do it only at f2 but i think about to do it in different generations.

To point 7 thanks you correct me.

To point 8 in my different projects i didn't got this experience, but i know genetics are hard to control.

Thanks you share your breeding experience.

I hope this will be a good thread for people who want to start breeding.

Thanks for inviting me!

4) Okay I totally get you now :D same as me.

6) excellent point tobe! Vigor is something thats always important to me in any project ( I hate growing weak or sickly plants, I dont care how good the flowers are I usually chuck them.) but I understand why you wouldnt want to lose anything special by making selections on vigor alone. I guess this would just be a personal preference.

Do you think after the F2 (main selections) you would go back to the 3 in 1 pot method or stick to the 1 per pot for all generations after?

no problem man, thanks for sharing YOUR experience too its pretty valuable to have insight into other peoples breeding processes.
Im pretty sure it will ;)

I think the 3 per pot method will be good at the f3 generation for strong auto plants.
I will give them a try till i restart breeding in the next year.

I got a question to you.
i own some pure landraces, i want to hold them alive. How much plants do think i have to pollinate.
i own:
Morocco rif mountain indica
SouthAfrican sativa
Nigeria sativa

whattyu mean? feminize a girl and use the pollen to create an auto strain from a photo X auto cross? NO but I know a guy thats breeding generation to generation at the F4 currently and has only used reversed females exclusively.

Using reversed plants to breed will NOT give you hermi seeds or plants. when you use CS or another hormone/chemical to reverse a plant you are simply (in the case of CS) inhibiting production of ethylene needed to form female flowers, so genetically the plant is still a female (in the case of people XX) although phenotypically it appears male.

so in short, its totally doable with no negative reprocussions, try it if you dont believe me ;)
Yes pollen off a feminized lady to a photo female. I'm gonna try spraying a fem auto Skywalker and using its pollen on a photo Channel +

I got question i always read that autof are made by crossing fotoP with ruderalis.. I never read that both parents were AutoF.. Why?

All non- Ruderalis strains are hybrid crosses that start with crosses to photoperiod strains. The Ruderalis is used merely for the autoflowering trait. You can also bred auto crosses with each other, I've done several of each type. The hard part is finding autos worthy of use in regular seed.
I'll be starting some interesting crosses using Black Dragon for the male.

It is hard to find regular autos, I hunted for quite a while just to find some for sale. I found and bought some of Flash's purple mazar and russian fuel regular autos that I've crossed with pretty much everything I grew this summer. I just started some regular auto blackberry kush x fuel and auto green crack x fuel to play with.

Does it make a difference which strain is used for the male half of a cross? Are certain traits passed better or anything?

Hi mexinor17
i have only use a male on the auto side but i think it didn't make any different.
I will test it by the time.
