Breeding projects: First up, Azure Duck!

Update: Cloned two of the ducksfoot took 8 clones. I used Dip n Grow rooting hormone and planted direct to soil. I took only the youngest tips of branches, taking small cuttings as suggested by my friend who gave me the ducksfoot. We'll see if this helps, waiting 6-8 weeks for a clone to take is nerve wracking....lol! So I have 2 viable mopmma plants, maybe a third but she needs some healing first. I have the two in their own cab along with the clones. Keep your fingers crossed, my success so far has been dismal, around 40%.

Azure duck pollination went well! I've got 12 mommas all swelling up with seed! WOOooo! Going to be a LOT of seeds! And look at this little beauty! Ohh, the white stuff is where that big male spewed on her....lol!

Seeds! The breeding grounds are in high gear. I sure enjoy watching the work. Thanks for sharing

Update:

Took clones of one of my previous ducksfoot clones. I got 7 and will take three to four of the second plant soon. Getting ready for the greenhouse! So far, the clones look good, but with these shrews.... who knows! I'll be mind boggled if I finally get one to root in less than ohhh 6 weeks!

10 days is average for photo period clones to root 15 days is a long time, some as quick as 7 days! Not these stinkers!

I'm going to document these little bitches closely. I believe this is what happens:

They spend a few days preparing to build roots. then roots grow out x amount. Then..........a crack opens in the time space continuum and some alien relative of Ducksfoot impregnates it with its own dna....... the clone dies ( this part is true! ) and a new plant springs from the base of the old one. I swear, this is how they do it. the 2 plants you see in my cabinet I thought both had died and was going to throw them out. But a waited a couple more days, I don't know why, it was truly 5 or 6 weeks, when suddenly a new stem and leaf had sprouted! Its really bizarre! Can't humidity domes on them either, they turn to mush in days......

Im not a knowledgeable plant person but surviving roots and the rest dying is bizarre! Maybe you have developed a strain with special root properties? Does it grow like suckers from a grafted fruit tree?
Wonder if you could cut a root cluster in half and get 2? That should show you how little i know. Good luck bud! Give them tiny tinfoil helmets

I can't prove it, but its my belief that Ducksfoot is like the animal life in Australia, an early Cannabis strain thats been isolated from the modern gene pool. I'd love to see genetic testing done on it. But this would explain the many anomalies.
