What up @Waira ??? I hope you're stepping large and laughin easy... Platinum LED only uses UVA....you need fluorescent tubes to get UVB...too much UVB can produce more oils and resin, but less yield.

This light grew some heavy frosty nuggs. Unless people try your lights it is hard to explain. I'm just telling it like it is they finish faster and frostier simple as that. This is Mephisto Strawberry Nuggets.

....Huh, interesting! Please expand Tom, the whole UV- A/B/C thing is poorly explained in general,.... C is very destructive, I believe, not beneficial? B I thought was THC% enhancing, but A does too? Never knew about yield differences though, and that's the juicy science stuff I love!

Great question @Waira! So, UVB can be benefitial for more THC, and oil production, but I have heard it can bring down CBD levels slightly. When you use UV you will stress the plant. UVB has smaller more compact wavelengths (more energy), which will increase oil production, but can have negative effects on yeild. I guess it depends on what you plan on using with the end product. If you want to process the plant for oils or edibles it could be worth using UVB....We use UVA because it helps bring out everything you want in the plant....more smell, taste, and potency, without sacrificing yield.....Hope this helps!

Here is an update of PRO COB 1000. This light is amazingly powerful. This plant is going to be HUGE AND STICKY. You need to hang it higher then other LEDs but the sprawl from having to hang it higher makes it cover a 4x4 area just perfect. The plant is so healthy.

I'm moving it to my Photoperiod tent for my next grow. I'm getting a 4by4 tent for better light testing.

This is the main one I grew I also grew a orange diesel under it too. This a great light built just right the spectrum makes for great hard plants even the popcorn buds are rock solid.
