How comes the 1212s Boo?? Inquiring minds would like to know...and yeah, getting shocked is part of playing with tricity. I got poked the other night off 110v AC through a screwdriver that put a PIN hole in a cheap extension cord, prying up some of those cord staple things. I threw that bitch to the curb, but it got me first. It happens quick and it wakes you right up. Good luck with the KAAAHBS bro.

I'll be doing it today, i brought it to work to use their tools haha any tips on how not to shock myself lol

They are really difficult to get in my country for single units so i found these at a reasonable price, without the huge shipping cost this is my first time diying so if this goes right then i can start thinking about making a custom set up any advice for this noob?

Never used the Ideal holders, so no experience there. Watch a video and only use a DOT of Thermal Interface Material. Less is more, and use a razor blade or a mini paint brush. Double check the wiring and use good techniques and it should be fine. WELCOME to the DIY club bro. [emoji535] [emoji362] [emoji108]

hmm i had no idea you could do that. so rather than buy drivers and coolers etc you just cut the wires at the mains, pull the led board out and rewire it then? or something along those lines. sounds way to technical for me like. my mrs builds the flatpacks in my house lol
