welcome to afn rohis i know that you are in a legal state but we all like a little stealth for our own reasons and the only thing i did not see in your plans was any kinda filter on your exhaust if this is on problem then dont worry good luck with your first grow
:smokebuds:

I do have a filter on the exhaust fan, I just couldn't figure out how to represent it with ms pain

Forgot to mention, I got some freebees with my seed order!

1 CH9 Jack 33 Feminised Seed
2 Kandy Kush X Skunk#1 Seeds
2 Ministry Of Cannabis Devilmatic auto Feminised seeds

researching these now. Im seeing some great looking devilmatics out there

Hey guys!

I've been busy but finally had time to start getting the grow room squared away and took some pictures.

i've really only scratched the surface of how I want things set up, so the intake/exhaust fans, mylar, light proofing and a few other things are missing from the pictures, but if there's anything you don't see that I need, let me know.

The bottom shelf will be used to hold all my extra supplies/tools/etc. I plan on getting some perlite and doing an 5 part ocean forrest to 1 part perlite mix. I've heard that soil mixture alone can carry an auto from seed to harvest without needing nutes (if you disagree please let me know. soil and certain amendments are the most difficult part of the whole grow for me due to availability in my area) I also plan on making a guano/molasses tea for every other feeding after the first couple weeks.

Those pots are 2 gallon and were used for Halloween decorations. I'm not using them in my grow, but since my airpots aren't here yet, I figured id throw them in there to get an idea. and dont mind that soil tester kit. It came free with the fox farm at a local garden store. I don't plan on using it.

I'm also making a more proper lighthood/ reflector, so dont mind the ghetto partical board

the suspension for the light hood is four 4' pieces of stainless electrical chain. where the hood attaches to the chain I'm using keychain clips

bulbs (could only get 23watt cfls in my area. 6 2700k and 6 6500 k) about 9600 lumens per plant or 4800 lumens per square foot. I may need a few more but I have seen great microgrows with way less lumens. and I'm going to make the best out of what I have with the light hood.

it's a little cramped in here with these 2 gal pots. I'm thinking that if I try and squeez four 1.5gal air pots it may be too cramped. I might just use two 2 gallon air pots. (still looking for opinions on this if anyone has any recomendations)

Looks like you're on your way to having a nice little setup. Looking forward to seeing it completed.

FFOF soil can be too hot for a lot of seedlings. Most who are using it are mixing it 50/50 with Happy Frog or Lite Warrior. It has enough nutrients for about 4 weeks of growing, so supplemental nutrients will be needed, a veg nute for weeks 4-6, and a flowering nute for the remainder of the grow.

Also, I would invest in a good pH meter instead of the strips. A meter is more accurate and the strips can be difficult to read when testing run off as the coloration of the run off causes the test strips to not show the true colors.

I hear you on the soil. I will be doing a lightwarrior mix, but probably not 50-50. I plan to breed and want them to have a good resistance to hot soil. I really want to avoid using nutes though. Even most of the organic ones aren't really as 'organic' as I'd like to think. If making a bat guano mollassass tea won't serve adequately, then I guess I'll have no choice though.

and as for the PH, i ordered a Hanna soil meter That should do me well. A little trick though if you do need to use the litmus paper/ph strips to test ph; drain your runoff through a coffee fiter. works great at getting the runoff clear and measurable.

Started Germinating last night.

I'm doing the kandy kush/skunk seeds first.

Best case scenario, since they aren't feminized, is one male and one female.

That way I can pollinate the female, then save some pollen for my remaining devilmatic and jack 33, and then I should be able to save some money off seeds in the future.

once I plant the seeds, I'll upload some more pictures

Okay here's a little update and I'm looking for some advice.

Only one of my devil matic seeds germed and it's been about 2 weeks since I planted it and it's barely stuck it's head out of the ground.

But the Kandy Kush x Skunk seeds both germed and grew nice off the bat (I did plant them about 3 days earlier then the devilmatic). I planted them in solo cups with the intention of moving them to my friends grow, but that fell through. I transplanted one into a 1.5 gal air pot today, and the other one is gonna need it soon.

That second one is only droopy like that at lights on, but after a little bit in the light she stands right up.

I've kept temp between 78-85f, lights are 18/6 PH is fine, soil is 75% ocean forrest, 25% perlite.

Is it possible that the ocean forrest mix was too hot and it stunted the devilmatic? Is she just a little slower then the other two? or did I end up with a bad pheno?

here's a pic of the whole rig

I don't usually have the fan like that, it mounts on the door. Exhaust is up top. the plant in the solo cup is normally wedged between the two airpots.

I think you hit the nail on the head regarding the Devil Matic. The FFOF was probably too hot for it.

why does it look like they stretching???is it because cfls,,are kind of weak im just asking????nice set up bro.
