Hey all.

I have Blue Cheese that's on the way and I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread and share her adventure with all of you.

The basic info is as follows:

Strain: Blue Cheese

Origin: Cutting

Grow Medium: Organic Promix

Feeding Veg : Will start of with Kelpak for the first 2 - 4 weeks and then I will switch over to a mix of Seabird guano and Seagro. I will be alternating them. That Seagro fucking stinks but the plants love it.

Lighting Veg: 250w Metal Halide

Feeding Flower: Here I will be using Biobiz Bloom. Super amped to use it

Lighting Flower: 250w HPS

Additives: I will be making some of my own additives like CalPhos and Seaweed tea

Pot size: I'm not to sure about this. It is going to be either a 25L or 15L pot.

I would like to scrog her and I've seen some guys that use a big size net. But I highly doubt that it will work in my setup or with a 250w setup so I will be using a screen with much smaller holes. If i decide not to scrog then i want to mainline. My setup is not professionally build and can do with some upgrades. If there is a section for builds and stuff I'll go pop in there on a later date.

As soon as my cutting arrives and I have my soil then I'll start posting pics to introduce you all to the lady. I will also get another one to keep as a mother. Seeing as this is an Organic grow I will not worry to much about the PH of the soil. The water will be tap water and it will be bubbled for 24 before use and heated to 24C.

Why 24 C ??? Not sure why I stick to this but Franco once said in a interview that any salt build ups can be sorted out by heating or maintaining your water temp at 24C. I'm am pretty sure that I am not gonna have any such problems but can it hurt to have your water at that temps ???

So that's it for now guys. I will be back again with more updates thrills and spills

Hey all

One step closer to starting. The mother arrived today. She is in a 5L pot and I think she is almost ready for a repot. Not root bound yet but I can feel that she is almost there.

I am still waiting on my Promix though. I will be transplanting to a 25L pot and then she will just explode. I am re-thinking the training though. But more about that later.

Hey all.

Things has changed quite a bit and its time to start off one of the Blue Cheese runs. I am gonna have 2 runs. One is going to be a all homemade nutes and the second is going to be promix and biobizz. I want to have a separate thread for the biobizz run.

I made a mistake with the breeder of the strain. It's actually Blue Cheese from Dinafem. I do apologise for my mistake. I will try to correct it soon.

So anyway, back to action. I repotted to a 12L pot from a 5L and changed the 250w HID to a 85w cfl. I will keep her under that for 2 weeks or until I see new growth.

She is a bit neglected and hopefully she will recover quick. I already took a cutting from her and I will be taking a few more at a later stage.

The "tea bag" on top is cotton seed meal. I havent used it yet and still pondering if I want to have that for extra feeding.

My homemade veg nutes is very basic. I took some homemade compost, dried pieces of kelp, horse manure, fast growing weeds ( I made sure not to touch the grow tips cause I want that growth hormones ...... can't be a bad thing ), oranges. I left it now for a week in a sunny area but not one that gets HOT. I stir it now and then and the smell is quite.........organic :gassy: .

Luckily it doesn't smell to bad. It's just that horse shit and kelp that gets me every time I stir it up.

Our temps is between 16 and 21 throughout the day so I won't use it within this coming week. Which is fine cause the Blue Cheese still has to get settled in her new pot and grow a bit. I am gonna put a screen over her cause she is quite bushy. Which is gonna make taking cuttings easy.

On another note, my CalPhos will be 20 days fermenting next week and all the shells haven't dissolved yet. Is that normal or should I wait till all shells dissolved ??? @hecno

If you ground your egg shells fine enough , your finished product should have a small layer of silt like stuff at the bottom of the bottle , It can take a while to happen . If you have a coarse grind it will take longer .

Thanx for the reply man. It's not all powdery. Some was fine and some is course. There is still a thick layer of course egg shells at the bottom. I will get a pic for you soon.
