Day 46 - Blackstrap On the Edge of Flower

No pistils yet, but you can see a bulbous little knot forming.

Yesterday was actually Day 46, and it was Trim and Bondage Day.

Blackstrap is a water/nutrient fiend.

She is developing beautifully with a crazy amount of potential bud sites.

Day 68 - Flowers, Flowers and Flowers (Part 1)

Just like Miley Cyrus. I, too, can buy myself flowers. Better yet, I can grow them. :smoking:

Wow, this Blackstrap is coming on strong.

However, there is a deficiency rearing its head. I think it is a classic lack of calcium.

If anyone thinks otherwise, please let me know. Those pics will be in Part 2.

Day 71 - Crisis Averted

It wasn't Calcium. Out of curiosity, I decided to do a flush of my SIP Bucket to check if there was a lockout. I am so glad I did.

After a gallon of RO Water, the EC was almost 4.0 EC, and the pH was near 7.0. That explains everything.

I ran a couple more gallons through. The EC was easy to get back to 2.0, but the pH was much more stubborn.

Once EC was stabilized, I started running 2.0 nutrients through, but keeping each run at about 5.4 pH.

After many passes, I was able to get the pH to 5.88, which is where I stopped.

Discoloring has stopped, and Buds are stacking.

Day 72 - Trichome Check - She's Ready

I think another part of the mystery behind the burned leaves has something to do with her age.

I went online to check the breeder stats, and he says 65-75 days.

As you can see by the Day 72 trichomes, she is damn-near ready. Cloudy skies everywhere.

I chopped all the fan leaves tonight and snipped back any other leaf to where there were some trichomes for the shake later.

I'll take a few pictures in the morning. She is a small plant, but that wasn't from last week's nutrient issue. It's the nature of these Autos (sometimes).

Day 72 - So Close

Trikes are all cloudy. Just holding out for a few ambers.

I did trim all of the non-essential fan leaves off last night.

I also trimmed the sugar leaves back to where the trichomes end.
