Well guys and gals after reading and lurking these fine ass forum pages I am finally jumping in..I figured I would start with 2 blue mystics in case I bugger it up I feel I wont feel as bad as wasting some Mephisto beans I got.. Beans are soaking in some distilled water am gonna try a 2 tier grow as shown by Mr. Fullduplex,have some jiffy seed starter mix and here comes the first question...I am cutting the bottom out of a 16 oz party cup and going to put that cup into another party cup with drain holes cut out of that one ......how much distilled water should I put on the seed starter mix?? Do I drench it real good where it comes out the drain holes and let it sit for a day or 2 while the seeds sprout???? I am also waiting on a answer to a question about ph meters that I put into grow equipment section should I hold off till I have a meter to check the distilled water and jiffy starter Please help I would love to grow a couple of beauties and be amazed at the marvels of nature

Pre water your cups and let it drain a out for a couple hrs. then put the seeds in 1/4 inch. Then leave it alone till they sprout! Don't overwater. Should be good for a several days depending on temps. You will be fine without ph meter for now. Good luck!

Thanx Snow after the pop I have 4 of the philips 23 watt(100 watt equivalent) cfl's in 6500k hooked into 3 y adapters to start them out with lighting. I am hoping to be able to get a 300 watt Mars hydro led in the next 2 to 3 weeks but if I cant I guess i will have to settle for a bunch of 2700k cfls (23watt) or maybe a 300 watter with a homemade hood made out of a 8 inch exhaust pipe that i say on youtube..I appreciate anykind of feedback that I can get thanx

That LED would be great. I got a KIND L300 and the plants love it. I don't know much about cfl but I think you gotta keep them close so they don't stretch. I really like my led and the plants do too! Hope you can pick up that Mars. Everybody on here seems to really like them.

The $80 I spent on my Mars Hydro 300w old style LED was the best money I have spent on my grow set up.

....as for the Blue Mystics......those sassy little bitches....another member here and myself both just finished Blue mystics grows I had plants and he did as well. Every one of them was a different phenotype. The all pretty much fought us the whole way through. Like I said sassy little bitches. I had one that pre flowered at day 17, the other plant at day 25.One was short, one was fairly tall. I had a third growing that was crazy tall and hermied on me. Both of us will tell you that they are Cal/Mag whores. I fought to keep it under control once I realized the problem. I do currently have a Blue Mystic growing as well. She is 35 days old and while has a couple pistols showing on random nodes she is not pre flowering yet!!! Just seems the genetics aren't quit there with these. Granted even while in the veg stage the girls have a wonderful berry smell and in full flower the berry smell was crazy good.

thanx for stopping by guys and I have been checking out all of the different mystic grows they were chosen for the low odor too.cups were prewatered and i just got up seeds were sunk so i cupped them up just a couple of drops of water on top then wrapped in cling wrap.Have them in dark closet hydrometer says lowest temp 75 up to 77 so hopefully all good on that. Dropping 2 more beans tomorrow morning some auto seeds polar expresses or 2 cotc cash crops dont know which ones yet but leaning towards the polars because of the low odor trait..

just checked the cups and there are no sprouts yet..noticed that the temp is not going above 77 f. there is slight condensation on the cling wrap and am wondering if higher temp would be better for germing?

I germ my seeds in a heated propogator,and the temps in prop. are governed to about 72f.
Ive had 99% success with this,one bad bean.It usually takes 2-5 days to sprout
so dont panic yet pal,they will pop.

well guys and gals since this last post I had to pull the first 2 seedlings I had because of my wife....the next 3 I put in I did on a sneak tip with her and they did not survive....I now have 2 polar expresses going in and I am at the point that I will grow Or I will not grow I am to old to keep living by other peoples rules...Life in georgia is a lot different then nyc were I grew up ......I guesss a life decision is in place here I am 48 ...a ex coke and dope freak and found my maintanence substance which is old maryjane I am pulled between my wife and my substance abuse I guess but I love smoking and the idea of producing my own ...her stance is a religous and geographical one since we live in georgia this sucks i have been a rebel all my life and when I had to be locked up I accepted it...did 5 years ...but now at the age of fifty what do you do????bad post for here I know but damm wanna be happy in life but want her to be happy to....I dont want to go back to prison but will if I need to it just suxs......have not even smoked sinced july 4th last year and only drank this wek ....damm sound like a mess here...lol
