Indoor Best Fans For Grow Tent

Hey AFN

I'm looking to buy a new fan prefer oscillating clip on. Right now I have an air king lol it's far from living up to its name. I bought it for 50$ plus tax at a grow shop and am not impressed with it at all. It's for a grow tent that is 3x3 wide and 6.1 feet tall.

I've just up grade one of my cheap clip on 6" fans for slightly more expensive one (not much), its called the monkey fan by secret jardin, its only 13w and a hell of lot quieter than my other 2, it feels like they designed it for grow tents. Its doesn't oscillate but air movement has quieten a lot. I'm now going to up grade all of mine to them, bring the noise down and save a few watts.

I use a box fan lashed up to the ceiling and blowing down at an angle towards the wall on the opposite side of the tent. Just set the fan to low and expect to replace the fan every year as the load on the bearings will kill it fairly fast. Box fans are mondo powerful and run 20 or so at any local megastore. The reflected air is pretty much perfect for my 4x5 space.

Got changed out my old 20w Cyclone fan last week for a SJ Monkey Fan and am happy with it so far, i got the oscillating version with the new type of hanger as the growshop had just got them in when i went to pick up the old model.

I do like that new hanger, shame i can't use it due to vibration. I have to hang mine. I'm really please with it going to up grade all of mine now and for the price they are so worth it.

Yeah as long as they last a grow or two before crapping out as most clip fans seem to are well worth the money i would say. The bottom part of the hanger has a rubber grip that holds tight to the pole and should take vibration pretty well, the upper metal hanger would make a hell of a noise against a metal pole though

They are pretty cool but shit that is a crazy price, have found a few online vendors in the USA who sell SJ gear including the old style fan which means they should have a supplier who might have the new stock, might be worth getting in touch and asking,
