I'm mainly looking for a more accurate thermostat for my AC/Heater. My AC lags, it gets too hot before it checks the temps to turn it on. Then it ends up having to run forever to get it back down to set temp. I need something smarter and faster at triggering it. Hummidy is running fine right now, but this summer I will need to run my dehumidifer so I need a controller for temp and RH. Any suggestions guys?

Thanks for your input TBM. I have been looking online hydro stores, there's so many that does different things, just don't need to waste money on more then I need. Something that will work with what I have. Digital window AC unit and digital radiator heater and my 30 pint dehumidifer. I wouldn't be calling up any 420 friendly service's here as most likely be LEO! Your so lucky living in a 420 friendly state!

I would look into sentinel or c.a.p. depending on how much you want to spend they are the name brands that I would trust. First off you need to know if your dehumidifier and a/c have an auto restart which means if you loose power when the power comes back on it power right back up with the same settings. A way to check is to have the device you want to test runnning unplug it then plug it back in if it fires right back up it has auto power restart. This is very important when it comes to controllers because thats how they work by turning the power on and off according to temps and RH.

@L3V3R Yeah this are the 2 brands I mostly see people using. I'm not positive on the dehumidifer, but i think it keeps the settings. I know my AC does. I made sure I bought one that restarted after power loss in case I wasn't home and power went the lights would have roasted my plants. The heater looses settings when unplugged thou.

@TBM it's worse when it's hotter like in the summer, temps rise faster then the remote thermostat censor checks. Thing I like most about having one of these things, is I can have the temp/RH probe hanging inside my grow space at canopy level where it's needed the most. Instead on the outside of the tent.

Yeah it can be replaced, but really don't think nothing is wrong with it. It's just a remote you can set the temp on it and instead of the thermostat on the actual AC checking, you can set it to remote sensing. I have it at the top of my tent pointing towards the AC.

You can see what I'm talking about in this pic.

What your talking about with your amazon one is exactly something I'm looking for.

Yeah the dehumidifer you just set the RH you want and it maintains it, of course it will vary from where it's sitting and inside the tent. One probe inside the tent controlling both is most appealing.

A little off topic but something you might want to incorporate. I just order two of them, one for each of my areas. http://www.horticulturesource.com/c...ariable-fan-speed-controller-day-night-p9188/.

They automatically vary the fan speed to maintain a more consistent temperature. They also have a probe that can be set at canopy level. Independent setting for day and night with a photo cell that senses day/night.

Thanks Muddy. I have seen those on other sites, thought they was for AC/heaters.

This is the one I use in my cab just for my a/c. It wotks very well, I found that when I tried running the a/c without it i could never keep my temps stable. Now that I'm using the thermostat my temps stay within 5 degrees.

Sweet bro, got a link to where ya got it? Your new AC is digital thermostat? No problem running it with that? Ya, I think a thermostat like this with the probe you can hang at canopy level would do a much better job, then the built in thermostat on the AC.

No, for fans. I think they will help me control my temp swings.

Thanks Muddy. I have seen those on other sites, thought they was for AC/heaters.

I'm hoping I get them. I had an order in with plantlightinghydroponics, who I usually buy from, but they told me they were back ordered from CAP. After waiting a month I canceled that order and put the one in with horticultursource the other day. They've already hit my debit card but no shipping notification yet. They are hitting me for $20.42 to ship em to TN. Normally I wouldn't pay that much but I really want them but have a sinking feeling they may be discontinued.

Nice find! I like that. I have such a love/hate of horticulturesource.com - great prices, outrageous shipping costs. I just priced out that unit as it's one of cheapest prices I've seen on a CAP controller...they want $25 for shipping to Colorado & that's Ground!
