Hi chris, I am new to AFN as well but I have been reading a lot of good information provided by these guys. If i were you I would take muddy's suggestion and place it in the window sill and rotate it often so that it will grow straight up. If the temp in the window sill is way too high for a seedling then I recommend picking up a 42w CFL bulb. Use the CFL bulb in a regular lighting fixture (such as a lamp) and put the seedling within 3-5 in of the light. I would also keep a fan blowing lightly on the seedling to remove excess heat and also to help build up a little stem strength. Once you see the second or third set of true leaves (the leaves with serrated edges) you can begin a process know as "hardening off" your seedling. This is a simple process in which you start sitting your seedling outside for a short amount of time and then bring them back inside. You progressively let your seedling spend a little more time outside each day to get them accustom to the more harsh environment. Trust me, I have had much more success with hardening off seedlings compared to just throwing them out in the sun.
Another good tip is if you are trying any new type of growing procedure, first try it on a random bagseed. That way you cut your losses when it comes to good seed. Hope this helps you a little. Good luck.
