Hello everybody,
this is my first post. Great site! Great info!

I need help.

I got my seeds. I put the first one in a glass of water for 2 hours. Then I put it in a box with watered kitchen paper. Aftel a day long, the seed opened and the shoot was out.

I took the seed and put it in a pot outdoors. I watered it and waited for 1,5 weeks but nothing happened.Nothing came out of the soil. The pot gets straight sunlight for about 12 hours. The tempreture outdoors is 35 degrees celcius (in the shadow).

Questions:
-Is there something i do wrong in the process?
-Is the temp outdoors too high?
-After how long it is going to show the first flower coming out of the soil?
-Ovewater is damaging the seed at start?

Seed: Autoflower Royal Dwarf

If after the seed cracks I put it indoor with lights (not proper lights), would that be better?

Please help cause I have 3 seeds left!

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. One of several things could have happened to your seed. The temperature was maybe just a little too warm but it's more likely that you may have over watered it, possibly damaged the young root when you planted, or planted it too deep.

Seedling don't need any light until they break the surface of the soil. They should be kept moist but not soggy wet. I would recommend keeping them indoors for awhile. The combination of high heat and strong sunlight can be tough of new seedlings. Just put them on a window sill till they break the soil and get some true leaves. Then they can be introduced outdoors, first to a semi shaded area but not into direct sunlight till they are a little bigger and stronger.

after germing in the paper towel. Water the soil before you insert the sprouted seed. Make sure the soil is nice and wet (not muddy). Make a hole the size of your seed and lightly put a thin layer of soil over it. Then put it under a CFL indoor. I wouldnt directly put it under the sun i would wait til i have a plant with 3-4 internodes . I would say 2-4 days you should see a thin stem popping out of the soil. What brand of soil are you using? Im by no means a expert or even close to it but it works for me lol. Good luck on the next seeds =)

Thanks guys for the info,

I germinated another seed and I'm following your advice.
I put it in a small pot 2cm deep in soil, indoors.I watered it once. The soil I use is common soil from super market.
Now I just have to wait and see what happens.

That's probably your problem, the seeds are too deep. What I do is make a small depression in the top of the soil, put the seed in and then cover it with some screened peat moss. Only cover it with 2-3 times the size of the seeds, or about 1/4 to 3/8 inch. Water your soil before you put the seed in, then use a mixture of 1 tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide to 1 quart of water in a spray bottle and use it to mist the soil to keep the seed moist.

Great news guys,
everything is going as planned.Today something came out of the soil (about 1 cm high). I kept it indoors as you recomended and i got results.

What is the plan now?
Should i keep it indoors under light? (not proper lights)
Should I put it outdoor in shadow? (High temp)
Should I change watering plan?

Sorry for the questions but I really want this to work so I'm going step by step.

Welcome to AFN, chrisgca! You're in good hands with Muddy, for sure.

That's great. Keep it indoors for awhile. If you have a south window put it near the window and rotate it several times a day as it will lean toward the light. Keep it moist, not soaking wet. When it gets a couple sets of true leaves, not counting the round seed leaves, then it can go outdoors to a semi shaded spot.

Guys,I need your advise.

Today is the 7th day of grow.My dwarf is about 7 cm high with small 4 leafs.

Is this normal or it's small?

This is it:

Please let me know.Thanks

It looks a bit stretched. If you bring it closer to your light it will be have a more compact structure as it grows. And won't need support to keep itself upright.

Maybe a little bit smaller than a 7 day old seedling under my 600 hps. It doesn't seem too bad otherwise.
