If you want to run a 600w bulb you will need a 600w ballast.
The 600w bulb will not fire off a 400w ballast. I recommend a digital ballast that is controllable in stages 50%-100 and sometimes super lumens. This way you can dial it down to 300w on up.
Also digital ballast reduce heat. These style of ballast usually are exchangeable with MH and HPS bulbs.
Im not seeing where your fan connects to the light does it just pull from being close? You can buy a 6 to 4 reducer and install on light so you can run hose to the blower. Sealed is the way to go with the extraction of the lights. That way you dont need to re-position blower when moving light as plants grow.
Also how big is tent is a 600w needed?

Yes, you'll need a 600 watt ballast. C.A.P. makes an electronic ballast that is switchable between 400 and 600 watts. I used one when I ran HPS lights. Worked great.
