Mmm for a first run I'd say 12oz that's 2 per plant very achievable
He didn't realize it was too much until after he'd already stared them.
i have 10 relatively large autos, 3l pots, in a 3x4 tent. If you plant 10 then in the end you will get smaller buds but the yield the will give you worths the risk. I LST SCROG my plants so that they cover all the space in a V shape around the reflector. check my pics
If you have time to spend with them go for 10. You will learn a lot. If you dont plan to give time and special care for each one of them, then better go with 5. I started my first grow with ten and never did a grow with a number less than that. It took me some time (and some dead plants) to understand how to adjust the company's nute schedule, to the needs of each plant. Even if some of my plants where dying, i was ending up with a nice amount of bud in the end. With just 2 or 3 plants and the mistakes that i couldnt avoid as a begginer, i would probably have ended up frustrated with a small jar of few grams. Now i usually grow 16 that usualy covers my needs for the year
Just keep in mind that every plant needs special attention.. Start feeding slowly, dont give the same maximum amount of nutes to all of them without watching how they respond.. This is easy to learn in a couple of plants, but with 10 plants it needs much more time in a daily base.
Another thing if you plan to make it a jungle in there, you will need strong ventilation to circulate the air in all corners of your tent otherwise they will develop mold. I have ~700m3/h exhaust and another 600m3/h intake together with the ocs fans, circulating the air inside the tent. And still im not completely sure that i have enough circulation.. probably ill have to add another 150m3/h in the osc soon
Another question can I put 5 autos and one photo in there, or I should just do all photo or all autos, cause I also have 5 photos too.

we recommend 3 gallon... or 5 if you have the space which i believe you do and want a bigger plant... but remember that bigger plant means you might have to do some low stress training to control them
I'd stick with just autos ull get a return alot quicker and if u put only one photo in it would affect the yeild of the autos on 12/12 light schedule

Well they are starting there second set of true leaves now this start seems a little faster in coco than last time I think the root juice and essential acids are helping with that also the calmag has npk slight value
