Photography Autos under fluorescents

How many watts of fluorescents? what type of fluorescents (t5?)

I am running a ebb&flow hydroponic system
The lights are 4ft , t8 tubes, 32 watts each at 3500 kelvin all the way from seed these are about 9 weeks

2 bulbs per fixture, I bought the fixtures at wal-mart haha. they are just standard shop lights with t-8 bulbs. I made an adjustable rack to hang them from. In a 4ft x 4ft section I have 12 - 32watt bulbs producing about 35000 lumens and have 9 plants in every 4x4 section. This garden kicks ass. I have only one oscillating fan and a open door and my room stays at 70 degree F. and 50-60% humidity.
This is a test garden going up against 2 1000 watt hps lights and with what I am seeing the fluorescents might win grams per watt!

Yeah totally. The fluorescent grow uses a little less of everything but I have larger plants under the hps. But really considering their is not a big difference in plant consumption at least now that its cooled off. In the summer months my hps garden will consume up to 10 gal. a day.
I am trying to find a suitable strain for my fluorescent grow as I need short plants because the light does not penetrate much over a foot away. Do you know any single cola short strains that are stable?

fluorescent lights work ok. That is what my phototron had but its a older model but people have been using them since the 70's and they do grow. I added a UFO led in mine to kinda help them out some though for a little more wattage

Plants like AutoAssasins are typically single cola strains that are shorter and pretty consistent. My AfganKushAssasins are the same way but they do have autoassasin in them. I also got the same pheno with Purple Mazars and purple jems in my grows.
