All that I have
I have some clay pebbles on the way. I will try one pot with just these for mu medium. Anyone else every try this?

Well perhaps no one has.
So my clay pellets will be here soon. It will be a few weeks before I can start new ladies as the tent is full. I just need to harvest three smaller ladies.. I will use the 2.2 gal/8.3 liter pot with the aqua valve but not air dome. Only clay pebbles.

I'll keep this thread open for further updates

I was thinking about a perlite/vermiculite run like hempy buckets. Not sure how it would go. I have spare Autopots now that I found out how big the plants grow. I bought a 9 site kit and will only be running 5 per cycle in my 5x5. 9 was too many.

The perlite is not something I like handling. I was running 6 pots in 100% coco and counted on some being smaller than others. We will see a couple of the small ladies will be ready to top harvest in a week or more. I too have 5ft x 5ft tent

I'm interested.
I don't like messing with solid media, so I retired my autopots and went back to hydro.
If you are successful, I might bring the autopots out of retirement.
Clay pellets are easy to deal with, but their lack of wicking ability might cause trouble.

Will you be using Rapid Rooters or RockWool cubes for sprouts?

I'll use jiffy pellet that I put into a rockwool cube. I used the clay pellets b4 on a drip and return system. But they were feed from the bottom. Worst thing is I will top feed and let runoff go into the auto pot tray. I really really liked their ease of use and clean up of the clay pellets.

When I start I'll post here.
