Dutch Passion Autofrisian Dew Grow [Outdoor]

I wouldn't worry about it. You could put soil at the base of the stems if you want, but if they will probably keep stretching till they get the sun they need. When my seedlings were on a windowsill they were stretching a bit too, also leaning towards the light. The stretching will be fine once they're outside I think. Remember to rotate the pots when theyre on the windowsill though so they don't lean too much :D

Yep, what he said, that is not much stretch actually. You can add some more soil if you like, it won't hurt, but some light and a good breeze is most important right now to develop strong stems. If you have a small fan you can put on them it will help tremendously in the long run. Keeps them from being spindly.

they are looking just fine m8 :) like DANK said, turn and move the pots alittle around so u get a little rotation on the plants, fixing the tilt alittle :)

What kinda soil are you using now? they dont want much neuts the first weeks.

Use the CFL and keep it close so u dont lose the effect :) cfl need to be wery close. 2 inches is the best...but at so early stage.. keep it 3-5 inches away :)

alittle fan would also help

should be fine m8 ;) dont overwather it and u should have some dreinage :) Good luck to you.. exited to see how you wil fix this outside :D

Good Grow Karma sent from Norway

+1 to the above mentioned posts, fan, and keep that CFL close untill the sun comes out that is!!!

Day 4 (I thought it would be better to start counting from germination date)

As I will only be needing 2 plants I gave one away to a good friend. So 2 plants left :)
I have some better photos now. Their leaves seem to have grown quite a bit in the last 24 hours, seems like those CFL's are doing their job.

Edit: I didn't see your responses untill after posting this. Thank you for the advice! I don't have a fan, but I'll keep those lamps close. That seems to be working: the plants are already growing straight up again :)

Day 9

Everything is going very well! the plants are growing fast (already developing a third set of leaves) and the stretching has stopped, although the plants still look quite fragile. They are still inside with two 20W CFL lamps and I open the window as much as possible so that they get some wind. When the weather improves I'll start putting them outside during the day and inside at night and eventually I'll plant them in the ground. That will be in around 2 weeks I guess, maybe sooner.

Day 23

The weather is finally getting better! Temperatures around 20 degrees Celcius and lots of sunshine, so I put my plants on my balcony for the first time today! Yesterday I picked them up at a friends' house who took care of them for a little while, but on the way home two of the biggest leaves on one plant 'broke' (you can see it clearly on the photo's). Should I trim those leaves, or should I just let them recover?

They are growing fast (25 cm in 23 days, that's almost a foot tall :)), but they look a bit stretchy too, so I guess they really need that sunlight now..
