Lighting AutoCob, Auto Flower, megacrop thread.

I went ahead and ordered some! I emailed the question I posted above this, and they responded within minutes, so it seems their customer service game is on point. They said yes, you can use additives from other brands while using Megacrop.

So for my next grow, I want to do 4 plants total, 2 different strains. On two plants I'll use Megacrop, and the other 2 will get the feeding schedule they do now.

If I calculated correctly, the 21.7 lb bag for $55 ($71 with shipping) would get me through almost 8 grows. That would make nutrients exponentially cheaper than I'm getting them now, and I don't find mine to be too expensive.

I'm excited to get that grow underway! It won't happen until late August though.

If you are growing in soil the cal/mag and silica are not necessary, it’s all in there. As for recharge, the is just beneficial bacteria and could be added to any nutrient lineup.

I grow in coco. I have tapwater (220ish ppm), and I use a 1 1/2 tsp of Calmag everytime I water. If I skimp on it, I can see yellow quickly lol. FloraNova Bloom also has cal and mag in it, and I still use Calmag. Maybe I just use it to make me feel better lol.

I've never grown in soil before, I tried dwc and got root rot fairly quickly. I switched to coco and never looked back

I think your calculations are off. I only started using MC at the start of flower on my current grow with a 230g sample bag. That was over 80 days ago and I’m almost finish and have enough left over that I believe I could have run my four plants from start to finish on that sample bag. You are buying 9900g and even if it took twice one of those sample packs, 460g, for four plants start to finish you would get over 20 grows out of it.

I feed daily, never using just water. I generally use a half gallon per plant. The numbers I was getting was for using 1 gallon per plant per day, for roughly 80 days (seems to be my average). At about an average of 5g per plant per day, that's 1600g per grow.

However, you are correct that my math was off because I use half that. But it's great to hear that the 230g pack lasted you that long! It's an even better deal than I thought!

I never use just water either but I do feed from a reservoir with autopots and the plants drink what they want. Also, I don’t think anyone has gone too far above 5g a gallon with autoflowers. I was at 4 and had to back it down to 3 in full bloom.

Wanted to follow along on here now that I'm running MC, autocobs and autos in my tent. I've got 6 little 1 gal Mephisto plants in a SCROG. Just a little test run in the side of my tent of their new strains.

Day 21 and I'm feeding them 4.5g/gal MC, 2g/gal CalMag, and just a sprinkle of the algae extract, as well as Recharge every other feeding. I'm waiting on the sweet candy because GL forgot it from my shipment, but they are sending it now and should be here any day. I'll try and post updates now and then on here. Maybe I'll make a thread.
