Nutrients Autobot 1st Grow, Biotabs & Mephisto

Nice grow mate. Biotabs for the win.

Loving the MBAP buds. Those looong pistils are gonna make faaaaat buds! Yum.

Make some COBS yourself if you want decent light dude. It’s super easy and not that expensive. For autos, I use 250w of cobs in a 4x3 and it’s plenty of light. Autos don’t need much light, they just need good quality/spectrum.

200 to 250 £ to DIY 250w of cobs. 5 x 50w. And you end up with the most versatile lighting system there is really. 5 individual light sources spread around your tent. And the whole are covered in useful light. Do it!

I think I have my next tax return time expenditure worked out there! I will have to start researching that!
Thanks for the props:d5:
I'm such a happy grower now! Healthiest tent I have ever had...makes me smile and I get all warm and fuzzy inside! Proud father of 4!

I cant play music to them, for stealth purposes. I pop in and talk to them and give them words of inspiration...and I talk to them quite a bit while watering...of course...everyone does that right? :pass:

Talking to them and interacting with them actually raises their vibrational energy dude. They love it.

Looking great! I also recommend building something, I will be going with QB's more than likely and just assembling them myself, although in Canada by the time I get the bits and pieces it's the same cost as ordering the kits. So I continue to research.

Yes, led is offering cheaper and better spectrum for growing, but you need to invest properly our front. You need about 25w per square foot to be totally covered, but les can work. I use up to only 400 watts in. 4 x 4 space, so I am a little low on light until I turn on the last light in mid flower to the finish.

Anyways, 400watts of led power, true power draw, will get you there. Cobs work great and are not that expensive. Quantum Boards are also good. You would need to spend around $400 to $600 to do it all the way, or you could get a couple cobs or one QB to start and then add on. Let me know if you need help.

Sorry to thread jack for a moment here, I have been wondering about this aspect as far as lights for autos. I have researched but can't find solid info. 25W per square foot is fine for autos? I would love to know for sure as it would make configuring my tents easier.

Yea...NP. kinda perks my interest as well! Sounded like not a lot of wattage lol

Do the math bro...25w per sq. ft. 4 x 4 tent. 16 sq.ft. = 400watts of true wattage. That would be four 100w cobs, which is totally enough. I run only 250 until last three or four weeks when I add another light and bump that up to near 400 in flower.

For LED and autos, that is more than enough light.

It's very easy to figure out how much light you need. How you want to spread it around the space is up to you. You can do that however you like as long as you balance that out. 25w per square foot is a good place to start with autos, much more will just burn the plants anyway. This is not the sometimes posted wattage on the light. I have a Bestva 600w led blurple, I love to use in my tent because it has a great spectrum, but the real wattage is 65w in veg mode and 70w in flower, only 135 when running full spectrum. That covers nearly half the wattage I need until flower phase begins. I use cobs for the rest of my light. I just use a simple lux meter to balance the light in the tent and avoid hotspots.

I can recommend an app, and help you set up your lights and balance them out if you need any help! It's really easy stuff.

@RivetGrrl you've got the right one here. Med will have you sorted and you'll be buying a new light by the end of the day!
I'm hopefully retaining this info for a year from now when I am in the market for a new light lol

Yea...right!!...but at least the info will be here and available to look back on.
:crying:
