Hi arty
Thanks for the info, i will read it later because kids are not in the bed at the moment.
Can you ask tasty about breeding with leds, it would be nice to know how good seeds developed under led.

Hi tube,

LED does a great job starting seeds. Flowering intensity may be a bit much. Seeds can start in very low light.

Awesome Kevin!!!!! It looks like Tasty has a dew different models..can you tell us a bit about the coverage areas of each??

I have a question from one of our members @tobe.
What results can he expect for seeds making and breeding from your lights, will they surpass HID for this job?

Welcome Kevin/Tasty LED
Take a minute to tell the community a little about your products

Well we have 4 models and a couple specialty offering occasionally. The base models are T1,T2, T3 and T4-2100. They all use CXB3590 emitters running at 75 watts. There are PPFD charts on the website at www.tastyled.com but basically a T4 covers a 2x4 area, a T3 covers a 2x3 area etc. Although one of the testers seems to be getting good results with a T4 in a 4x4 area. The target intensity for the footprints is high 800s to low 900s, which is a good place to be in regards to getting high yield per foot while still not wasting electricity with over saturation.

Whilst Kevin collects his thoughts lets just chill to some nice tunes.

The HPS HID variant contains about 5% blue light. Even the low CRI low K LED emitters will generally have about 10% blue, so most white LED sources will be great for starting seeds and vegging.

Awesome Kevin.....Are you able to tell us why Tasty chose to go with an inline design for the lamps rather than a square design??

A T1-2100 which is a 90 watt lamp would be fine for starting seeds in a 3x3 area. For mothers or veg you would want a little more intensity.

Yea sure, the square design works well in it's intended space but intensity goes down when you put it in a space larger than the intended footprint. This means a different lamp for every situation or trying to get several squares to fit in an area they weren't made for. The bar lamps can accommodate anything from a 2x2 to a 4x8 or 5x5.
