Auto topping thread,pushing the auto limits;)

Good day growers im a master photo and auto grower.but my passion is with autoflower seeds.i been on a mission for 5 years growing now trying diffrent methods of training on autos to see what they truly behold.truth is autos aint no diffrent to a normal plant other than they flower on there own.u can top lst supercrop and defol autos with monster results if done at the correct time.oviously every plant is diffrent so always use the seed info as a rough guide and a short plant can yield just as much as a tall plant in this thread i will show u all along the way of the true limits of autos and there true potential as i grow them for u all to see.also if ur an auto grower who likes to push the limits,do speak up and all pics of ur autos and talk and all questions welcome on pushing the auto limits.here a few examples of the results achived topping an auto young followed by later lst.few heavy defols along the way ,gives u an army of dominant colas and a big heavy yield.and a beautiful plant.here is automazar topped and lstd

Everything I have read here says I shouldn't top after Day 21. Unfortunately my lady was a bit slow to get to the 5th node and it's Day 24 today - would it be ok to still top or should I just let her grow?

I've been following the "top by day 21" rule too. I learned it on an old HST thread by Budelee (RIP). I have topped after the deadline a couple of times and still had nice results. This one got topped on day 30, above the 8th node (I tried on day 20, but didn't take off enough). She still gave 57g of very dense, tarry bud: Maybe if I'd 'a follered the dern rule i woulda got twice as much, who knows? I was very satisfied.

You can, you just reduce the veg time a bit and she may be a bit smaller. I topped on day 30 something and still had a decent yield 60g-70g but she went about 100days. Either way she wont be tall if you think she was slow to begin with.

Some start slow and pick up the pace, Some plants veg for longer. Anvil seems to take about 40 days to get into flower for me. I just had a Nightowl Starfox start out where I had a replacement seed started after 10 days, now at 35 days, she is the biggest plant in the tent. It is the health of the plant that would make me decide not to top.

Try to leave a little more stem if you can. It keeps it from splitting there when you are training later on.

What node does it look like I topped at by the pictures? I’ve been stressing that I topped way to early.

To me it looked like you topped her above node 3. That should give you 6 strong colas.
