Auto topping thread, pushing the auto limits;)

Good day growers im a master photo and auto grower.but my passion is with autoflower seeds.i been on a mission for 5 years growing now trying diffrent methods of training on autos to see what they truly behold.truth is autos aint no diffrent to a normal plant other than they flower on there own.u can top lst supercrop and defol autos with monster results if done at the correct time.oviously every plant is diffrent so always use the seed info as a rough guide;) and a short plant can yield just as much as a tall plant;) in this thread i will show u all along the way of the true limits of autos and there true potential as i grow them for u all to see;).also if ur an auto grower who likes to push the limits,do speak up and all pics of ur autos and talk and all questions welcome on pushing the auto limits.here a few examples of the results achived topping an auto young followed by later lst.few heavy defols along the way ,gives u an army of dominant colas and a big heavy yield.and a beautiful plant.here is automazar topped and lstd;)

OK. I would start over.

Just add more light, even an inexpensive china LED is better than what you are running. The more light the bigger the buds.

Cool, Ill keep sticking with it in that case.

Aye, Ill upgrade from CFL bulbs when it comes to the next grow but thought Id give this a shot as its my first attempt :)
Nothing wrong with your logic. It looks like you need more light. What is your sq ft you grow in? I grew 5 runs with 16 watts a sq ft. I have a 400 watts light in a 25 sq ft. I was happy. Then I added 250 additional watts for my current grow. I know have 26 watts per sq ft. I am more than pleased with the extra output of the ladies. Now it is all up to you to find out what you want and what you need.

By the way Welcome aboard. :welcome:

Thanks !

The room is 25 sq ft as well by coincidence. Just tidied the lighting up and added whats supposed to be a 300W LED light to the existing 200W CFL. But honestly, the 300W was £20 on ebay. So not sure if it will be upto much! Attached pics of my super first time 'winging it' attempt of the setup...

Juat 2 plants right now. The large plant is a Royal AK auto and smaller Pineapple Kush which I planted about 8 weeks ago and seems to be starting to do well.

Ah, a Brit I C. Im in Colorado. @St. Tom will be a great one to follow. Great grower and great person. I saw some of the older Mars Hydro 300 on super cheap at the 20 quid mark. They pull about 130 watts. And this actual draw from the outlet is the only wattage you should ever use. There are 1500 watt lights that only draw 250 watts. This total draw from the wall socket is what you go by. So the light is a good start. It is best, IMHO, that one starts a grow thread. It is to show you and others the path to having nice ladies in the tent. My last harvest with only having 16 watts per sq ft( actual draw from the wall)

thank you kindly @autobeast for the advices. Mephisto sour stomper x double grape, peat coco, bio bizz nutes day 74 and she is over ready (had to quit town for a few days....) Topped at the 5th, lsted, lsted, lsted. Into the dark for her. Relaxed a bit on this my second grow and lapped up the nuggets you dropped. And thanks @Mañ'O'Green too for many wise words and diagrams. Very happy growing.

Thanks for the tips! Thats me almost another 2 weeks on, better lights on the way but in the meantime looks like the plant is doing well!

With any luck might be able to have a not totally crap first harvest in 3-4 weeks.

@Benneh getting any plant across the finish line is an accomplishment. All that you learned will be carried forward to the next grow.
Tag me into your grow so I can watch your harvest.
