As the title says, although not a complete Newbie, i am new to Auto's, and will be starting my first auto grow in around 4 weeks time when my Photoperiod Jack Flash are nearing finish,
The reason i am switching to Auto's is i am fed up with using 4kw of energy heating my Groom at lights off, as this to me seems a waste of energy, i am thinking if i run my lights 24/7 i will get better value as my Auto's will be using the energy from the light, rather than waste that energy on fan heaters etc.

Any advice, tips on Strain or anything else will be greatly appreciated!
i will be using 15ltr airpots with drip irrigation.. House and Garden coco A & B, Bud XL, Buddha Tree PK booster, silicon and Great White Bennies,
My Groom is 6 mtrs sq, the floor of which has been lifted with roofing firrings, tilted to a run and fibreglassed to make it it into a giant tray with drainage out to my garden.. so i can basically put any number of plants in any arrangement in there and it will drain out.
Lighting is 4 times Raptor 8 cool hoods, with 4x1000w and 4x600w, a grande whopping total of 6400w
room temps are controlled by two large box fans a sms step controller and two RVK's running the Raptors.

Hopefully i will get around to running a diary when i eventually figure my around the forum..

i did think about running two scrogs on either side of the room and using separate reservoirs, that way i could test out diff nutrients as i am thinking of making my own nutrients in the near future as i am sick of the high cost nutrient companies put on there products.. for my first auto grow though i will just use two layers of pea netting for support,
can Auto's even be scrogged?
is there any site rules on plant number on here i couldn't find any?

Mr ganja moto brews his own beneficial teas - but not sure of anyone making their own nutes!
Autos can be scrogged no worries. Too much of a pain in the ass for me though lol - But with all the glorious space - why not!

Welcome to the network bud! Sounds like you have a pretty nice setup. You are defiantly in the right place to get a feel for autos. I live in Florida, so the cold has never been an issue, lol it almost sounds like a blessing. But, yeah.... If you are already spending that money on simply heat, why not turn it in to stash. I like that approach. Have fun, and take care.

Just another quick heads up - if you're compeletly new to Autos, you'll need to dilute that early nute mix a bit - Autos are more sensetive to nutes than photos and don't get a recovery period if you go in too strong.

TaNg has done a few really good feeding schedule guides that might be worth following before making your own nute line up - one of them is an economy schedule (without the crazy boosters and sugar enhancers lol and sumoslaps) that gets terrific results.

Worth a try to get your eye in maybe

Wow, that's some serious light! Be sure to use a good sunscreen while you're tending the garden!
As you poke around, you'll see a lot of growers opting for 20/4 light cycles, or even 18/6. However you go, that's gonna be an impressive room.
