Just got my 3 auto mazar seeds and they are germinating in a cup of water for 24 hours and then i start my first grow.

My space: Grow lab 80l (2'7x4'11x6'7) in my basement.

My lights: T5 4 foot 4 bulb for first few week of plant life and the a : 600 watt hortilux eye, hydrofarm daystar air cooled hood, and apollo ballast for later in the plants life.
Soil: Roots organic and fox farm light warrior seed starter soil in 5 gallon smart pots, i plan on putting the roots organic on the bottom of the pot and then a few inches light warrior soil on top so the seeds can get a good start.

My venting stuff: 25 feet of 6 inch ducting, zip ties, 440 cfm inline fan, speed controller, and a oscillating fan. I plan on not using the inline fan until i start using the 600 watt setup. So will i be good with only a oscillating fan with the first few weeks of my grow.

Other stuff i have: Plant caddies, ph meter, tds meter, 7 day hydrofarm timer, hangers, thermometer, ph up and down, and ionic notes.

I have 3 5 gallon smart pots and after my seeds are done with their 24 hours in there i plan on just planting them in like a 1/4 inch deep or so. Il be running my t5 setup at, I'm thinking 24/7 as a light schedule. Do i use my oscillating fan right when i place the seed in the medium or do i wait and start using the oscillating fan when the seed pops out of the soil. and in terms of average 16.9fl ounce water bottles how much should i water for the first time and do i water it right when i put the seed in the medium or after it pops out. Any info would be great i start my first grow tomorrow and any info on auto mazar would be great too. Thanks in advance.

I want to welcome you to this site. I want to offer you my wishes that you have the best of luck with your first grow. I grow in a big bubbly pool which is so much different from what you are doing I shouldn't offer you any advice. I will say you do have to water at first but hold off on the nutrients. Hopefully Muddy will be along to get you started proper. he is a great grower so just follow his advice and you will be gold.

Welcome Greg. Just want you to know that this is a great place for knowledge. Welcome to the community and wish you all the best on your first and future grows. One love to you and much good kharma.

Not 100% but if the temps are OK in the area your fan shouldn't make a big difference until she pops up.

Okay but there one other thing i don't want to mess up, watering especially the first watering When i put the seedling in there how much water would you say i should put in the 5 gallon smart pots i know people say there is a lot of different factors for this question but watering in terms of fl oz how much water would you put in for the seeds in this set up. And thanks for the tips and welcomes.

Welcome to AFN. Is this your first grow ever, or just your first auto grow?

Water your soil a day or two before you plant your seeds. Give them enough so that some runs out the bottom of the pots. That will give it some time to drain off a bit so it's moist but not overly saturated. Soak your seeds in water till they crack, then plant them 1/2" deep and cover with some fine soil. Once they pop and are about 2" high turn on your circulation fan. Don't point them directly at the seedlings. Just make sure there is enough air movement to that they gently vibrate.

Hey i would like to ask you guys how much longer i should keep my seeds in a cup of water to germinate. Its been 23 1/2 hours, they all sank to the bottom already, but only one of them cracked open so far. How longer would you say i should keep the seeds in the cup or should i just plant them in there pot now?
