Sorry I can't point to any seed seller because these seeds were a present from a friend. I still have some left, and might use them in the future. I used a bucket to grow 2 plants in my 1st grow, one of them was an unknown seeds from the Assorted Auto Pack from Buddha Seeds (the makers of Red and White Dwarves, Deimos, Syrup...) and the other was this Auto Kaya 47 from Advanced Seeds. The Auto Kaya 47 package states it's got 8% THC... the weed was smokeable but the unknown Buddha one was a lot better. I would make another report for the Buddha one, but the exact strain was never known, so that won't make sense. Now, let's go on to the details:

SeedBank : Advanced Seeds.
Makers of feminized and auto seeds.

Strain: Auto Kaya 47.
The seed bank reports the following features:

  • Genetic: Kaya 47 x Autoflowering
  • Yield: 400 gr./m2
  • THC: 8%
  • Indoor height: 60 - 70 cm.
  • Outdoor height: 60 - 120 cm.
  • Indoor flowering period: 70 days
  • Harvest: From April to November
Did it autoflower?: Yes.
About 3 weeks into the grow it began showing white hairs all over.

Soil/hydro: Soil.

Nutes: No nutes for the first 3 weeks. I only used bird guano (NPK 4-5-6) and molasses for the remaining of the life cycle.

Light (kind and schedule): Used 3 CFL bulbs in different combinations. First 3 weeks only 6400K bulbs, and then switched to 2700K. Always around 100W total, because of me trying several bulb shapes and wattages. The schedule was not strictly followed due to a failure in my timer. Most of the time they got 4 hours of darkness, although some days were 22/2 and even a couple of times they got continuously 24 hours of light...

From seed to harvest date: The plant was harvested 62 days after being germinated.

Dry Yield: didn't measure. The total wet weight was almost 30 grams. I guess the dry weight would be under 10 grams.

High/Effect Duration (how long did effects last): mostly cerebral and mild effects. The duration was not long, maybe 1 hour or so?

In-depth

RATE SCALE: * bad to ***** good

Bag Appeal: * to *****
*** Not bad. There was not much resin in this plant. Overall looked good.

THE GROWth: * to *****
** My fault for using an inadecuate pot (1.5 liter). The plant grew up to 12 centimeters and only got 1 really big and fat central bud.

THE SMELL: * to *****
* I hope this is a fenotype issue, because I still got 3 more seeds of this strain! My plant was almost ODORLESS! I guess this would be nice if the smell is an issue, but this weed did not smell much at all. I didn't like this :(. After a couple of weeks for drying and curing the smell did not improve.

THE SMOKE: * to *****
** I harvested when there were a lot of amber trichs, I would say 40% amber and 60% white. Anyway, the smoke is not AWFUL, but it does not have a particularly good taste. Quite disappointing.

THE HiGH: * to *****
** Same as the taste. The effect is mild and I relate it mostly to a sativa-like high. No couchlock at all, which I liked, but too mild even for me (my tolerance is low!).

The price paid for a 3 seeds pack was 22 euro. The strain was chosen mostly because I heard about it being easy on the smell. After the grow I agree with that, the plant was almost odorless. But the smoke was not that good, so nowadays I would rather choose another strain. Here are some pics:

Welcome
nice report thanks.

peace

the one pheno i grew was good yielding and superrrrr smelly ...it must have been just how you grew it bro

Thanks for letting me know, canadiaconnoisseur! Because I still have a couple of Auto Kaya 47 seeds around! Yes I agree this could be an issue on my part. I just wanted to report the actual results I got. In fact the other plant I grew along this one was really really good, but I won't write a review about that because it is one seed from the Assorted Auto Pack from Buddha Seeds, which means that the actual strain is not known (they are not labeled).

In your vid the Auto Kaya 47 looks delicious, way better than mine. Of course I'm still learning how to grow and improve my technique ;) I wish some day I'll get some great weed like you in that video! Congrats and thanks again for sharing ;)

:peace:
