Hello ladies and gents! I am pleased to announce my return to the wonderful world of autoflowers. I am super excited as the first time I tried them I was a complete noob and I ruined them. Now I have 2 photo period grows under my belt and I feel like I finally have a basic understanding of what I need to do to succeed.

With that out of the way, the good stuff!

I currently have 3 beans planted. They are chilling in their temp home under 4x 23w 6500k cfls. Got a little space at the top of my kitchen pantry setup for the 3 girls. MY current grow should be finished in the next 2 weeks so until then they have to stay here. I might move them inside of the tent while the lights are on for a little super led powa between now and then though. ;D

Bloody Skunk is on the left in a 1.3 gallon hempy container. In the middle we have Pineapple express from "fast buds" in a 2.8 liter hempy container. Finally we have Auto pounder with cheese! I gave her the 2.5 gal hempy pot.

Each pot has either 1 or 2 holes drilled 2 inches from the bottom. They are then filled with perlite until it's just past the drilled holes. After that the pots are filled with a coco/perlite mix. Tbh I'm not sure what the ratio is as I didn't really measure it. If I had to guess I'd say its about 70/30.

I mixed 1/4 tsp of grow more all purpose and 4ml of calmag into 1.5 gals of water. I used that to water the coco for a little precharge. Miss skunk has already popped out and I'm just waiting on miss pounder and miss apple to make it to the party. ;D

Hopefully I'll get some love in this part of the forum now that I'm doing some autos. If you guys see any noob mistakes I'm making please chip in! The dream is alive! ;D

All the girls came out of the dirt and are looking healthy. I'm just trying to not touch anything and get through this very scary first few weeks. Autos make me so nervous ;(

Looking good, Anasazi! I'm subbing up for this :) I do both photos and autos, and I have to remind myself constantly.. 1) go easy on the nutes-I rarely feed more than half strength, at least until stretch is done; and, 2) feed grow nutes until stretch is about finished.
Very best on this auto run, Bro!
some love, too lolol :Sharing One:

Thanks a lot for stopping by and showing some love waxi! I don't get that much of it normally but I really appreciate the little bit I do get. This is a lonely hobby sometimes ;D

Damn so auto's tend to use more grow nutes than bloom nutes huh? it's like the end of veg and start of flower is more of a mixed affair in comparison to photo periods?. Looks like it's flowering but it's still not counted as full flower.

When would you suggest starting the first real feed? day 12 or so? ;3

You're never alone on AFN, Bro lol
Yeah, I use the grow nutes until the plant stops vertical growth. On my first couple of grows, I'd switch to bloom nutes at "Day 30-35", and the plants would switch to flowering hard, and not grow taller, or yield as well.
As for first feed, I usually wait until the 2nd set of "real" leaves start to come out, so yeah, day 10-12ish... I've been pushing it on my photo plants lolol. As soon as I see a 3 leaf set, they get sips of 1/4 strength AN, with VooDoo Juice and B-52. I think an auto will get pissy if you tried that, but the photos take off!
Have a safe, AFN weekend, Amigo :)

Its been a while. ;D

I've moved all the girls into the tent now and have them under both 300w leds. Sadly I think they aren't doing as well as they should be. I mean they look "ok" but the green color seems pale or weird. I dunno how else to explain it. The growth seems slow when I compare to others around the same age as well.

I think I'm about 2- 3 days behind in growth for some reason. I do remember my last grow took about 30 days to really explode so maybe it just takes a bit longer for hempy to get started. Or maybe my nutes aren't liking hempy/coco. Last time I started with GH 3 part and now I'm using the Grow more AP 16-16-16. I started feeding the equivalent of 1/8 tsp per gal around day 7 or so as my coco has nothing in it. Now I'm at 1/4 tsp and thinking maybe I should go up to 1/2 tsp for the next watering.

I'm also regretting not adding in dolomite lime to my coco like I did in my last grow. I feel like I should have kept my formula exactly the same since it worked out so well. I totally forgot when I was mixing the coco though. ;(

I could just be freaking out for nothing, the color just seems to bother me and the size. I'm sure you guys will just tell me I've lost my mind and they look fine. haha!

Day 10 - I fim'd the auto pounder with cheese in the 2.5 gal at around day 13. Had to give it a shot after watching faded! ;D

Day 17

Pineapple express is in the smallest container. Bloody Skunk is in the 2nd to smallest container right next to it and in the biggest container is the auto pounder with cheese. The air pot is 2 gal equiv @ day 9 fast and vast.

Hey bro, you've lost your mind! They look fine to me haha.

But seriously, I think they are looking good. You picked some good strains. I've had my eye on that AP for a while and might have to grow it later down the road. That F&V though, I'm thinking you're gonna really like it. I've seen lighter green like that on my plants - I'm really not sure what attributes to it, but mine cleared up after they started started their stretch and look a nice green color throughout. I always thought it was a light thing - too much light for seedlings, but I could be wrong. I just know that so far I don't see any reason for real concern, they are looking good!

Yeah they lookin good bro. Im subbed.

Pretty sure I have some type of deficiency starting on my Pineapple express. Maybe you guys can help me out and point me in the right direction. I really want to get it taken care of before it turns into a serious problem.

I haven't watered in about 4 days or so and the coco is still really moist. Last watering they got 1/4 16-16-16 grow more ap. I feed at between 5.6-5.9 ph. I thought it might be the start of a mag problem so I'm thinking about adding 3 ml cal mag per gallon at the next feed

Day 21
