yes you can but a 250w hps would have been better unless micro growing
if there fems do this
plant into a peat puck first that will reduce the chance of stunting due to hot compost
fox farm is fine

2-3g will be a good size for them

Welcome to AFN. I'm going to move your thread over to the New Growers forum where we can better help you get started.

If you've got feminized seeds you can go straight to your final pots and avoid transplanting. If they are regulars you may want to start in smaller pots and then transplant the females, avoiding committing a large pot of a relatively useless male.

FFOF soil can be too hot for seedlings. I would advise using something like their Light Warrior to start them in. Fill your pots with the FFOF but hollow out the center and fill it with FFLW so that the seedlings can start in it and grow out into the FFOF as they get bigger.

You can grow autos full cycle under HPS lights with good results. However, you may find that 150 watts may not be quite enough light. You may want to consider supplementing it with some CFLs. They are relatively cheap.

I would do what they say and then get some kelp like Alg-a-Mic, mycorrhizae like Piranha and some humics like Advanced Enzymes+... or equivalents.

also to look into the dual bulbs, they are hps and have what is needed for veg growth as well , no bulb change and only one bulb to buy:)

I agree dual spectrum bulbs are pretty good and 2-3 gallon is fine :peace:
