Dutch Passion Auto Durban Poison Pistils

Girls looking fine Charles. Feeding the girls 4 times a day seems like a good idea, that will give some nice Growth! How come u not water enough to get little runoff every time? :pass:

From what I have learned with coco as long as the coco stays wet. The salts do not attach to the roots and coco enough to cause problems. And a flush using ten times the volume of water as pot regularly. Will avoid any kind of nutrient lockout do to salts. As an example check out TaNgs post in the DP threads.

Okej. That sounds reasonable. I'm pretty new to coco myself so I'm here to learn and share. Tang is a mastergrower, he surely know his thing.
I had a friend doing Durban Poison a couple years ago, it did not end well, he copied my feeding-regime when i was doing autoultimate :crying:
Well well, going to be interesting to see how you go along with your girls.:smokeout:

Tang uses coco? I thought I read he does not use coco.

View attachment 879131 This is a budget grow that took a month out of my SS check to purchase a tent. Second month to purchase seeds, basic Flora nutrients, 5" peat pots and starter coco. Third month a generic 215 watt cob light with Epstar LED chips. They do not put the brand name on the light or instructions. But it is working well for me so far. We wills see how it flowers. Five Oxy Ultra 3 gallon squat pots that are 8" high and 13" wide. I've always liked squat pots because I believed they provide the upper air roots better oxygen. And a bale of Botnicare coco. next month will be air and exhaust. I just leave the tent open now for air.
I have three girls in a 36" X 36" X 72" tent. Two Dutch Passion Durban Poisons and a Humboldt Seed Co. Blue Dream all autos. For this thread I will concentrate on the Durban Poisons only. The two Durban's are front and rear left at the end of week one.View attachment 879131

I admire your dedication, foresightedness, and patience man! That must be tough to ration the dough for a long term venture like this and still make do on a limited budget like that.

I've grown both of these strains before and they came out fabulous! The HSO Blue Dream was a heavy yielder and the DP Durban Poison was a connoisseur's delight. Gorgeous bud with a strong spicy licorice flavor and a soaring high.

I wish you all the best on this grow, I'm subbed up!

OK I am at the end of week five. Another week and I will be around the halfway point. I had a bit of a brain fart yesterday my DP A was about 5" taller than B. So I figured I would raise B to be about the same height as A. I got her up to about an inch of A. Satisfied I went to get a beer and sit with the ladies for a while. And when I returned one whole side of B was curling up and starting to canoe. I just bumped up the Flora trio a half mill and thought she was ODing. So I grabbed her took her to the kitchen and started flushing her. It had been six days since the last flush and I flush every seven. Si I checked the flush and the PH was at 7. I started scratching my head and went to the tent to look for any signs of predatory critters. Then notice a 25w LED spot that I had been using as secondary light with 600w cobs was in the same position it was in before I raised the plant. Which would have been about 8" from the foliage. I let her drain and then watered her with 6.5 water and a dose of CALiMagic and returned her to her post. The leaves were still supple and hydrated so I gave her 24 hours to see if the effected leaves would open back up. They did not so I pruned them this afternoon, removed her from her perch and retired the side light.. She seems to be doing fine and stretched about 2" today.
A has been showing flowers for a few days now. B started showing pistils about the same time A started flowering. The Humboldt Blue Dream auto that I have in the tent with the DPs is about 4" shorter than the DP/B. But she is a big butted bushy girl as wide as she is tall.
The first pic is of the farm. The Durban Poisons are the leggy Sativa girls in back A on the right and a suppose that makes B on the left. Side branching is keeping pace with the main stem. And with a little fan tucking they all are receiving

full light.

Second up is Dutch Passion Durban poison A & B. I am waiting until the first of the month to get a fan and carbon filter. The girls are starting to produce an good odor and need one bad in the tent. I have a ozone generator that I am running in the living area twice a day while I go for bike rides.

I have not figured out how to rotate the pic in here. So next week I will rotate the camera. A again from the top.

Thanks for the replies people. It is good to know you are not entering the unknown alone. First auto grow, first coco grow, first store bought liquid nutrients and first LED grow. Dozens of gorilla and corn field grows including a couple of hundred kilo plus in the 70s. Those were much easier on the head than three tent plants.
