Grow Mediums Attempting 2nd Grow for the 4th time :)

I was running two air pumps 1 25L and one 75L so a total of 100Lpm and I had six buckets, so each bucket had two stones in I think it could have taken more

Well then isn't my one airpumo enough I'm running 100 gallon an hour airoump connected to two stones. Either way I connected both outlets on my whisper 100 to one air stone and then connected my 40 gallon airpump to another airstone. So she should be good not to mention noe I have a backup.

Derek, that is one amazing bucket full of roots! Was there any room left for the nute water? Congratulations on a wonderful grow.
Jtrain--lookin good and keep it up man. I have used flora nova bloom before, and have found it to be a very good finishing nutrient. Usually I wait until the plant stops growing before switching from grow to bloom nutes, but I think you should follow your own instincts, and your plan sounds good to me.

I'm gonna stick with it I just wish they didn't stain so heavy but first hydro I think I'm doing well thank you.

GET MORE AIRRRRR!!!! Sorry I wasn't trying to yell, but you did the same thing I did at first. You need to be running about 100L per MINUTE not gallons per hour. It can be a little confusing but the one you are using is severally inadequate for what you are trying to accomplish, I mean don't get me wrong it will grow and work just fine. But you are trying to go for monster yield then you really need to get an air pump similar to one of these. https://www.hydrofarm.com/p/AAPA110L

This is 110 Litres of air per minute and 1750 gallons per hour so you can see the difference that I am talking about, I guarantee you this is why they haven't just absolutely exploded with growth because once they get into flower they NEED way more O2 that 100 GPH. The whisper says it can run 100 gallons but that is for a fish tank not for a DWC system. At the current moment I would guess you are only pumping in maaaybe 15 Litres of air per minute, and like I said while that will be sufficient for them to grow in order to get monsters having max airflow is 10000000% necessary.

@gurgler Barely enough lol, like I stated before if you can imagine those plants were root bound in a sense because literally the whole bucket was full of roots that is why I am upping it to 10 gallon trash cans on my next run Lots of air=lots of big giant healthy roots

Gotcha well this weekend I'll purchase one I had my eye on it's 700 gallons per hour and it's like 30 bucks online that's 7x stronger then the one I have would that be better

@jtrain252 I also looked at one of the pics back on page 8 and could see how many bubbles were in the bucket and I am going to try and find a picture of what mine looked like but I don't know if I have one or not. That bucket should be almost totally white with bubbles and if you notice the larger roots that are almost growing out like dreadlocks? Those are the ones you want to hit the rez and give them so much air it's cray cray in there. Those main roots are the direct arteries if you will for the plant and they love air above almost everything else. I don't want to sound like I am negging on you by any means I just can't overstate how important getting the most air to your roots is, and I have seen how much work you have put into this so I don't want you to get discouraged at the very end when you see a lot of folks on here growing absolute trees!

I can assure you that if you go and do this one thing you will increase your yield by 30% or more I PROMISE. This is not just some hokey sales pitch cause I am not getting any money from it, it is what I have experienced over my decade or so of growing top shelf cannabis DWC style. More air, more air lol

Also what you want to look at is the Litres Per Minute not necessarily the gallons per hour, you want to know how much actual air you are pumping in and with a 700 gallon that is about 45 LPM so if you hooked up that along with your current one which may be putting out 15 or lets say 20 then you are around 60 which is waaaaaay better than where you are, however if you want trees man I suggest you go ahead(of course if it is financially feasible) and get the one in the link above or similar to it. But at any rate I would get the highest LPM pump you can afford I promise you will go nuts as soon as you plug that bad boy in and then you will get to literally watch your plants grow overnight!!!! That is how I was able to see my last ones grow sometimes a couple inches a day I am really glad that you are going to get one soon because you will be so happy that you did. Again I promise this is the best advice I ever received from a great experienced grower who once told me "Cannabis plants love, almost above all else, lots of air to their roots" this is the reason why I choose to grow in DWC because it is the most effective way to get o2 to the rootzone. You are doing such a good job at this point I want to see you take it to the MAX.

I see the dreadlocks one it's the main boy coming off the bottom I bought this one Which is
952gallons per hour

6.5"x4.5"x3.75"

Its around 4 liters per gallon
My pump is 100 gallons per hour or 1.6 gallons per minute or 6.6 liters per minute
The new pump is 952gph which is 15.9gpm or
60lpm so I've increased my air 10x

Boom there you go! With 60LPM you should have enough air to get those roots to fill up the bucket! Again wait until you see what the extra air does, you will have a dropped jaw when you see growth of an inch a day And with only one bucket she will love you long time! Throw a couple of airstones in that bad boy and let er rip! Sending mad grow Karma your way!
