Grow Mediums Attempting 2nd Grow for the 4th time :)

Day 32
Temp 79
Humidity 47
Rez temp 76
Ppms down to 800
Ph 5.9

So I topped her up with half a gallon of ro which brought her ppms down to 800. They had started Monday at 1100 so I added 7.5ml of grow and 5ml of calnag to the rez. Raised ppms back to 1250. Thurs Friday and sat she will only get plain water Sunday will be a bucket change to transition schedule.

I have the cleaning kit for my bluelab ppm meter coming I feel like it needs to be clean.
I have a new 952 gph air pump coming. My only concern as ofnright now is a little bit of yellowing light green leaves which I want to believe are from the stretch. Also
ROOTS she's growing more of them which is good but the dark black spot of discoloration for nutesludge had not made a big zone. I can tell it's nutes and not rot because she is healthy and there is no smell thanks to hydroguard and pondzyme.you will see in the pics it's dark stain and sludge on the top portion near water surface but white on the bottom Is there anyway to stop this and restore the white it's just scaring me is all.

I have a theory and it goes back to the air, is your air stone at the bottom of your bucket? That is where the roots are the closest to the stone and therefore the healthiest those reason the roots are "staining" is because the nutrient solution is essentially staying in the root too long and leaving a little bit behind to stain it. Watch once u plug that other airpump in I bet all your roots turn white as the driven snow :)

yeah i have 2 stones a 3inch round block and a 6inch tube one on the left suction cupped down and one on the right. She grew maybe half an inch im hoping by sunday she hits 12 13 inches. That way when i give her half veg and half bloom she is a decent size. i dont know if 1250 will be too high but since im refilling with RO water the ppms drop 50-80ppms each refill so it should be ok till sunday.

Derek, Thanks for the info about the air. Makes total sense to me and I think I need a little more air myself.
Mr. train. keep up the good work you are doing a good job of learning the craft.

So this morning she's already down half a gallon so she's drinking more. I expected 1250ppm to be too high but she's holding at 1230. I think tonight will be just ro refill tomorrow will be adding nutes to existing rez Saturday I'll let her take the rez down to 2 gallons and Sunday I'll empty bucket. Should I do the transition nutes of half grow half bloom or should I just switch to bloom. Also she gained an inch

Day 33
Temp 80
Rez 76
Humidity 45
So last night ppms were 1250 this morning half a gallon down she was still 1250. Tonight she was missing a full gallon but ppms jumped to 1350 so I added a gallon of RO. Ppms now 1100. Tomorrow I'll mix quarter strength top top off then nothing till Sunday. Still unsure if I should do a week of transition or not.
Anyone think doing Max nutes for a day then diluting down a few hundred ppms before making again is bad? I'm conflicted between only adding ro during the, week since I empty the rez.every Sunday or adding back to maintain ppms

Ok so when it comes to autos and knowing when to switch to flowering nutes or doing a transition it is all about seeing when the vertical growth starts to slow down. If you are still seeing vertical growth I would go with a transition week, but if you have seen the vertical growth start to slow I would go ahead and switch over to full blown bloom. Based on what I have seen and see in the pics I would go for a transition because I still think she has a little vertical left in her. She is looking amazing and I think with the added air and more air coming you are going to have a straight up beast on your hands. Also if you get a chance I would love to see the roots so we can all get an idea of what the extra air is doing for your ladies underparts :)

I won't get my new pump until Monday

Height is good almost 12invhes tall tomorrow my partner will refill the rez with plain rothen Sunday I will dump the bucket refresh with transition schedule...
So take a look and if u know what those dots are let me know 20160429_113925.jpg20160429_113846.jpg 20160429_113717.jpg 20160429_113710.jpg

I'm glad my probe cleaner came today. Cleaned my ppm meter ,recalibrated in new solution and check rez I was really at 1450, diluted to 1400. Guess I had been pushing her harder then I thought. How often do you clean your meters

The dots look like the start of a calmag def, I would up your calmag asap. What I found last time is that the "calmag" def was really more just a mag deficiency so I would start by using Epsom Salt first and see if that helps arrest the spreading of those dots into rust colored holes in your plants leaves
