Are These Too Short?

When i first started Autos i was tripping on how short and how small the distance between nodes were they looked just like yours but they really started stretching around the 30 day mark. i thought the same things raise or dim the light but i left them be and they are looking real good now they stretched well.

I recently grew out a few meph “bare assed monkeys” and was extremely disappointed when they went into full flower at a under a foot tall !!! But I steadied the course and ended up with the densest buds I’ve ever grown!!! I mean they all weigh about 7 grams dry some more not many less. The plants never got over 2ft but nothing but quality from the bottom to the top!!
Shortest I’ve ever grown and some of the best bud......

Update:1 month in and the short one is still on the short side, both have gotten pretty bushy.

Time to defoliate? I'm a little worried about the areas I circled being covered and not getting any light.

Also, any ideas to get the short one to stretch?

IMO I wouldnt take anything off at this point yet, they both seem small still to me and not bushy enough but to each his own. Play with the plants and learn how they respond.

You could add a fluorescent or LED side light to light up the dark areas. Something like a work light on a cord. It will not be a large spectrum light but it will add some energy to the plant.
