Actually it's my hubble opinion that Auto's will do their own thing regardless of a lighting schedule . Some grower use a 24 hr approach some 18/6 and some 12/12 I never did understand the need for different choices as the auto are bred to grow at their own pace regardless .
I am thinking it can't harm. C. ruderalis is native of Sibiria, it's flowering, so it's autumn and short days...

...and the plants are done growing. They just build bud and mature. Expected harvest is before New Year.

From Wikipedia .
Autoflowering cannabis varieties automatically switch from vegetative growth to the flowering stage with age, as opposed to the ratio of light to dark hours required with photoperiod dependent/short-day strains.

I have heard the idea that by giving an auto some darkness they will be able to create more terpenes, but so far have never seen anyone test that with any rigor.

Sure. It is not for flowering, it's for generating space in the tent where I keep the autos.
What I wonder, if less light significantly delays harvest or compromises yield and potency of autoflower plants.

I also heard that, but it is it not something I would practice.
I need space for some photo seedlings, but need to flower another set of photos now. My auto tent is overbooked. It would help a lot to put 2 autos in the tent with the photos.

After taking the paper off the front it burns real even and the first puff aint all paper.
I learned this years ago, and the guy who taught me this is now 70, but he said back in the day lots of people did this.

Does anyone else here roll their spliffs like that?

Okay Doc now I understand . Your auto are best suited to an 18/6 schedule or yes your quality and your quantity will be effectide .
