Anyone know anything about the Silverleaf Whitefly?

I found one of these bastards in the grow room tonight. Looked just like this...

I couldn't find much info on their effect on cannabis or how to spot eggs etc.

Anyone know about these suckers?!?!?!?!

I've heard that they aren't really really bad and the plants can usually tolerate them, but that they can usually be terminated by the use of Ye Olde Sticky Trap

Thanks Squid! I just read the same thing after a brief heart attack. LOL. I only saw one but best believe I will be grabbing a gross of yellow sticky traps tomorrow! I'm getting close and it has been uneventful up to this point. Just being paranoid.

Hi there ichi,

I have some white flies in my backyard grows. The thing is to prevent the laying of eggs. They place their eggs on the bottomside of leafs. If you happen to find them gently remove them by hand with some soap water. Also to check if you have white flies it's real simple: just shake the main stem a bit or pass your gentle hand on the leafs and see if anything flies out of there.

To control the number of white flies I'm using neem periodically, say every 2 weeks. It affects the lil buggers feading habbits.

Oh, and you can see if they been feeding from small white spots on the leafs. They suck the chlorophyl from underneath the leafs.

Hey thanks Hugo! I tried your trick and shook all the plants. Nothing. I guess there was just one in the room. I will keep a look out for the eggs too. No leaf damage either. Thanks so much for the info!
