Indoor Anyone know about the T8 lights? And what are the best T5's to get?

we grew this grow under 128w of t8 on a dawn to dusk light schedule,from 10/11 - 1/12. it took 14 weeks for a 10 week strain.

the t8 was barely adequate ,so we now have a new t5 ho 432w light.
from seed to harvest with 6500k veg bulbs seems to work well.

Cool thanks man. Depending on how much everything is and all I will be getting both. If I have two single light fixtures that I plan on getting and get extra flower bulbs I can just change the bulbs to the flower ones when the time comes right? Instead of having to buy four separate fixtures. Probably a dumb question as this seems very obvious to be a yes. haha Thanks

What's the difference between the T5s I found at Home Depot and the ones we can buy from shops? Is it just the spectrums? Thanks.

the bulbs at the home depot in my town are for t5 not t5 ho.
I can't say for sure but,I don't think they interchange.

What does the ho stand for? And yes I saw some T5 ho bulbs and fixtures. Doesn't give me the spectrum though. Thanks

Same here. I've read online that some stores have T5HO, but I've never seen it. You definitely want T5HO for growing, not standard T5. A 4' standard T5 bulb is 28w and ~2700 lumens. The same size T5HO bulb is 54w and ~4700 lumens. They don't interchange so you can't upgrade to HO later if you go with the regular T5.

Right. As in the regular T5 fixtures won't take the HO bulbs? I think that's what you're saying. I know I saw HO on one or a few of them. They even have a chart my the fixtures in the store and T5 HO are on the bottom. 54 watts each. So any of those would work? Like I said no spectrum given like on the hydro sites. Thanks guys.

Alright, so I checked out the final price differences and all and I think I am just going to go with a couple 2 ft Sunblaze T5 ho fixtures from plantlighthydroponics to add in to my setup,instead of the ones from Home Depot. That way I know exactly what I'm getting. That should definitely crank it up some. My one question of opinion is whether I should get two bulbs of each spectrum and switch them out when the time comes... or just get one of each and rock out... or two of just 6500 veg and rock out..?
