Live Stoner Chat Anybody grow like Mr. Canucks Grow from YouTube?

Gaia Green is available in USA and here in Illinois. I used his method on two plants I used Nectar #4 soil and pastuerized worm castings. I added Calcium and Magnesium during grow and Nectar for the gods Gauna during bloom. I had two Mephisto 24 carat, in 3 gal they are at day 72. The one is a 24 carat and is doing great , especially due to the fact that it was a runt seedling. The second ended up not being a 24 carat, something from there more sativa plants. I would normally have grown it in 5gal. I had problems develop I believe from a lack of nutes. I should have added more sooner., The problem is they take time to get in the soil. I was testing and did not want to go off course. I am going to try it again next grow vs Greengro. Dr earth is nothing like either of these. Both Gaia and Greengro are powdered very fine powder. I am adding Dr earth to my veggie plots right now so it can decompose over the winter. I want to go to an easy system, sometimes I don't have as much time in the morning as I like so I don't want to mix up a bunch of nutes.

Looks like I am on a similar path to you. I used NFTG on my first two grows, but I also don't always have time to mix and pH all the nutes every other day. Trying out a mix of Greengro and NFTG this time (with my reused #4 soil).

Have you ran GreenGro for an entire run yet? Curious how it worked for you.

I am just finishing up 1 to 3 weeks on most plants. Some plants growing well others not so much.I accidentally fed with veg instead of bloom when they started into bloom. That f'd things up and have been fighting that on many plants since. It caused the ph to drop way low and have been trying to get it up to mid sixes from the mid fives The plants growing well and not part of the Extra Veg Nutes problem had explosive growth. I started with five tablespoons in a 5 gal .75 cf of soil 1/2 bag of #4. That is way to much nitrogen left in soil starting in bloom. I am also going to mix in dolimite lime next time I am honestly trying a second run soon and am going to try all bloom a mix of bloom and less veg and maybe a mix of one shot and some of both to start and then the bloom and bloom boost after. I messed up some on this grow and did not keep proper notes. Some people would look at my plants and say what great plants but I am not happy and I believe I hurt my yield. I really could see this working out well but I just got to figure out the formula. There is very little info on these products that is useful. I plan doing a post about this grow and the things I learned from my stupidity. I feel every one of these grows with different nutes has been a great learning experience. I would think about starting in Veg with NFTG and going bloom with Greengro, maybe even Gaia Mania only.

Here is a photo from left to right Starfox 36" 1 to 2 weeks out more calyx than bud. Glue Gelato 30" about 3 weeks out shooting 3rd set of pistils right now, slid bud would like them bigger, Next is Mehisto Skywalker OG 32" abut four weeks out just finished its second set of pistils hoping for bigger buds. Behind left to right green pheno Starfox 34" airy bud. Marathon OG 38" nice solid bigger buds 2 or 3 weeks out, best plant.
all in 5 gal except Skywalker in 3 gallon.

I think you are onto something about skipping their veg nutes, at least for autos. I ended up using a mix of one shot, greengro veg, and NFTG nutes during my veg this time, which was probably way overkill as I was running into pH and nitrogen issues right when flower stretch started. I would definitely be interested in your findings though, as I plan to keep trying their products (especially since I already bought em!)

Well, those plants look great to my newbie eyes! If I could get results like that, even with mistakes, I would be pretty happy.

Definetely overkill The veg is strong. Well the veg has 6-3-3.5 the bloom 2-5.5-5.5, flower finisher 1-5-7 and NFTG one shot has 3-10-0. I might try 2 T of bloom and 2T of Veg in 5gal or 1T one shot 1T Veg 2T Bloom, or all bloom 3 or 4 T.

I’ve been using Down to Earth 4-8-4 through veg and flower in all my coco grows. Sometimes I mix their 4-4-4 together but noticed my plants grow fine with just the 4-8-4. I make sure I top dress every 2 weeks with 2 tablespoons per gallon to avoid any deficiencies and also water with recharge every 3 days. The 4-8-4 works so well and it’s so inexpensive I buy it in 50lb bags now.

But from what I read on your post you do not start your plants on it till later. I am going all the way dry amend if I can. I do use SLF100 and Photosynthesis. That combined with the Greengro extras would be about equal or more than recharge. I am not against using down to earth but I will keep on the greengro for a while it is strong and it goes a long way, and I have quite a bit of it.

I always add dry amendments in my initial mix. Sometimes I supplement with N-P-K and calmag during veg, but the coco already has the dry amendments mixed in. I’m not positive if the nutes speed up the growth during veg, so I started a test a few days ago with the 4-8-4 in recycled coco, new coco, and coco with dry amendment fed with nutes. I also have a few in 4-4-4 to see if there is any noticeable difference there.

Awesome, it seems like you are doing what I'm planning on doing trying different mixes. I don't see needing any npk to the mix because my problem was too much not too little.I will keep following to see how it comes out.
