Hey guys,

I'm running into a small but enviable issue. 4-5 weeks till finish and my 5-6 big colas are packing on too much weight - for this grow it looks like i'll be using string to hold em up, but for the future i'm looking into silicone

I've noticed that some of the DWC guys who grow BIG plants are using silicone to strengthen the stems and hold the extra weight

Does anybody using coco have experience with silicone dosage and products?

I'm a hand waterer and am currently keeping things simple with Canna A&B and a bit of PK 13/14.

Chime in if you can ^_^

Thanks!

** Should point out that this is a Photo period! - Not 4 weeks into an auto grow lol ***

Hi Blue hows you mate , i use plant magic silicon in my coco grow but stop adding it at the end of wk 2 in flower buddie i only use a little , also if you look at my last few pages of my diary i use it to up the pH as well my personal take on the silicon is give it to them from the start at low dosage and stop end of wk 2 in flower and this way it wont affect the taste or burn of the weed, ps im in 2nd wk of flower now and im referring to plant magic bio-silicon as its quite consentrated

I forgot to use it a few times this grow but think its a great product buddie , stoner memory Blue , lol :peace:

Thanks for the speedy reply Dex ^_^ you're a ninja on these forums!!

That's very interesting, I'm always accidentally chucking just that little bit too much PH down in, and then having to top up with tap water to get it where i want it - a little dash of silcon would be much more preferable to me. I know A&B and PK is cheap, but i just refuse to waste a 5 litre batch of feed that's been out de-chlorinating for 24 hour! :)

Thanks again, i'll have a hunt for some! ^_^

When useing pH down or up use a dropper or pippet and try to get it right first time or use less check the pH then add more check and so on you'll get to know how many drops you need give or take a drop or 2 :peace:

For the rep we lost along the way ^_^
hehe Thanks for the tip Dex lol

I know how to PH my water!!! :p - i'm just a little ham handed when it comes close to my mark. I PH from 7 down to 5.9 and the closer i get, the less it takes - there's quite often a "Doh!" moment!
I used to mix every watering individually, but i just started mixing 5 litres at a time so still trying to get it dialed in .... after about 2 months lol

oh another thing is if your adding any organic additives or benificials you must use them that day once the organics mix with the synthsetics they can get funky on you so if you dont use the lot just bin the rest :smokebuds::peace:

Nah, I'm done with organics! Gave it a go, had some nice results but always felt like there was something "missing" from the smoke!

That'll be the chemicals ^_^ Mmmmm tasty!

And I'm super lazy and love to keep it simple, one day i might push the boat out and get some canna boost and cannazym lol
Think I need to post post a picture at some point, I've been growing for quite some time now and am sure some peeps would have a giggle at my monster hehe - just a bit freaked out about the new ex DEA new member saying not to post camera phone pics - obvious really, but thats all i got for now so we'll just have to imagine a big plant in a small cupboard ^_^

Thanks for the chime in Dex - all appreciated and good info!! :)

I would definitely recommend an enzyme product in coco, just cut it out about 7 days before you chop so you don't taste it. I use Hygrozyme pretty much throughout the grow, then stop adding it to my water on the final flush before I go to pure H2O, then I just feed water till she's faded and then dry out/chop. Coco is magic.

Hi Low_and _slow

Thanks for the tips, I've been thinking i should pick up some cannazym - and I now understand what you were saying dex! Don't leave the cannazyme in with my 5 litre feed mix .. add it to each individual watering! Think i misunderstood you above!

Coco is magic! Love it!

What i ment Blue is if your useing coco specific nutes you can mix up and leave stored but if you want to add any organic additives designed for say soil grows you must use these the day there made up mate :peace:
