Indoor Another attempt...New Grow Log

Hi everyone ok to start off I want everyone to know I changed my screen name it was Terri before.

Ok, I must have had beginers luck last time although my male rate was to high (My Fault) I bought 10 LR1 I got 2 girls from them seeded one of them got I think 216 seeds they both grew tall and I thought good for my first harvest.



Now I have used almost 20 seeds and all I'm getting is little 4 inch or less plants.

Right now I have a stupid little thing I am hoping I'll get 1 joint from it its 2 inches tall lmao its on day 55. Then I have one that's 3 inches that's in the party Cup grow and its on day38.

Now for new grow I am hoping I mixed stuff ok I used a ice-cream pail which is I think 1 gallon I filled it 3/4 full with moo-poo. Then i added 1/2 tsp crushed eggshells 1tsp. of blood and bone meal 1/8th cup of lime a sprinkle of Epsom salt. then I ph'd some water put a tiny bit of molasses and added it to the pail stired good and added perlite until I thought it looked right. I put the seeds straight in dirt. so right now I have

LR#2-Day4
LR#3-Day3
LR#4-Day3
LR#5-Day3
PG#1-Day3
the other three PG's I pulled from dirt today and put them into a wet paper towel because the seeds are not germanating good in this soil. so don't know if they will pop now or not.

I know I only have 12 26watt cfl's but I planted that many because I seem to get so many males. I hop they don't all end up female lol

Changes I've made from all these little failed plants.
-added lime to soil to help with ph hope I didn't add to much
-Because this soil was not germ'ing good I used those little jiffy things and with I put them in the cups I had cut the net thing off. I did not use those with these.
-I had 4 6500cfls and 8 2700 cfl's after reading (cant remember who's post) with T5 and cfl its better to just use 6500 from start to end with autos so now all 12 are 6500.

I'll put some pictures up as soon as I get kids off to school. hope this makes sense.

Nice pics from your first harvest, EE. Do you have any concerns about your soil mix being too hot? For my first grow I tried planting in a very similar compo mix, and it either fried the seeds completely or the seedlings just never grew right. Looking forward to the pics & seeing how this grow goes for you. :smoke:

TY for stopping by, Yes I am a little concerned all I added though was 1 teaspoon of blood/bone meal. I'm not sure but I hope the eggshells and salt will be ok the lime is what I am worried about but one problem with all those runts was I ph'd my water (I use vinagar) to 6.5 and the run off seemed to be 7.5 ish and I could not seem to get it to fix I read somewhere lime would help and I'm not sure if you can have to much or not. The molasses I added because I read somewhere it gets things going. It really was total guesses from all the things I've read. I hope I didn't mess these up already

Ok I'm ready to throw in the towel here. I have no money no smoke and for some reason can't seem to get anything going again. I guess those to weren't just beginners luck it was a once and only luck. Sorry for my bitching.

Ok well its around day 15 for these give or take there all at diffrent days by 3 days. and then new seedlings. I was just doing the tiny bit of water and they are all still tiny no wheres where they should be in size and they all have shit wrong with them So I was like ok the oldest is day 16 and I figured a full water with runoff wouldnt hurt at this point well the run off was 7.8 I ph my water to 6.5 always using vinagar and I had added what i thought would have been to much lime. I have fixed everything I can think of also putting a tone of perlite like i had for the first grow so I don't know what else to do but I'm just wasting all my seeds. I know I don't have all the fancy growing stuff but I really don't think with what I have it should be this why anyone anything should I try lime or something diffrent to ph the water I use only organic things I mean 6 months of trying to grow maybe I'm just not able to do this.

Try not to use vinegar espically if you water those seedlings with it and after you let that water sit the ph goes right back up to 7. Try to use a ph down that way you can let the water sit and the ph wont change. Hows it going Eagle? I know exactly what you mean with beginners luck. lol My first run was my best as well, im getting nothing but little girls too. But i did have to get used to this whole new making your own soil approach. Pretty hard so far. But i think my next go around should pic up. Good to see ya around

Thanks JEMman, Ya I keep putting more seeds in the dirt each time thinking I figured the problem out. I think its time to start from scratch again back to the drawing board.

I was using very little water this time because FD thought the same so I think I fixed the over watering. The vinegar I was noticing I didn't keep the PH good for long. Would lemon juice work better do you think?

Im not sure if lemon juice will keep the ph for longer than the vinegar, but i did use it last grow and it did me pretty good. I do know that somebody makes an organic ph up and down. Srry i cant be of more help as to who actually makes it... but i will check to see if i can find it here real quick.
