Hey guys, I recently finished a project I am currently calling "The Scrapyard"

all1.jpgall2.jpgall3.jpgall4.jpgall5.jpg

It is 3 individual chambers for growing a single plant each. The white bucket on the ground with the tubing manifold is the rez. The lid comes off, and I take the bucket out for changing the rez. It's not too bad so far....

Here they are with their shells off, and no lights:

Here they are from left to right:

A brief look at a plants life inside:

Some pics of getting the setup ready:

I am seriously excited about the genetics.... SAD Fast is a Black Domina (Sensi Seeds) based strain, that is also an F1 hybrid. It should have a wicked fast flowering time assuming we can get it that far haha....

I am notorious (at least to myself lol) for not having super successful grows. Hopefully I can avoid completely wasting these awesome genetics. I have planted 6 sweet seeds before total and all have died due to my own failures as a grower...

I am only aiming for 1 oz per plant.... Though that could be tricky, I think it shouldn't be tooooo hard....

Each plant is in a 2.5 liter pot filled 100% with leca clay.

Using Canna Aqua nutes with hydrogen peroxide added. Botanicare cal mag plus is used to get the RO Water to 150-200PPM then the rest are base.

Feel free to follow along if it seems like something you might be interested in...

Today was day 2... Hopefully we can go another 90 or so without too many hiccupssss ;D

Thanks for stopping by, and good luck on your grows!

Thats a nice setup & much respect for THE DIY.
Good luck with your grow!

Wouhohuhohhuohu Spacebuckets!
Finaly i see some really cool ones in action.

Fuck yeah!!! Count me on this one!!! I can see this working similar to what I do with rockwool!!!! I love how you use the UFOs!!!! I wish I had room for something like this right now because I have a few buckets, and I could get my MarsII to fit over a 5gal bucket..

What kind of temps are you seeing in there?? I'm guessing not high since the fans for the lights are outside the grow area, not like they throw off that much heat anyway!!

Hey man!! ;D The temps inside are actually good this time around... High 70's. The hottest bucket runs 79F. It has the least CFM in and out and is furthest from a good source of air (sorta poor planning on my part).

I went a little insane this time with the CFMs in and out of the buckets....

These fans right here are awesome: 85 CFM Case fan only 13$

I have one blowing in this time (as well as one blowing out) because in my last bucket grow ventilation was a problem. The plant was so sweaty... It was actually pretty gross hahaha. Anyways the additional fans have hopefully made the diff. I really tried for excessive CFM's (in and out) in a tiny space so hopefully it pays off.

The UFO tops are piece of cake to make. Two bucket lids and some duct tape and off you go haha ;D

I still have not had a successful grow in the space buckets start to finish. Thus far I have vegged in them and then the plants got toooo big and I had to take them out. I think this is largely due to me trying to do DWC inside a space bucket though... I'm banking on the smaller pot sizes to keep the plants from getting too lanky this time.

Thanks again for stopping by ;D

The only thing I'd be concerned with for your ventilation is that the in/out fans are too close to each other, which may not allow for the greatest efficiency, but if the "out" fan is strong than your "in" fan, then you should be able to pull plenty of fresh air into the bucket.. But.... With that being said, I think the power of the "in" fan would serve several purposes such as creating the gentle breeze needed to firm up the stalks..

Even at 79F, that's WELLLLL within the limits of using LEDs, as I've read a considerable amount of literature that points towards having a higher ambient temp since LEDs don't have the same intensity (is that even the right term), and can be great all the way up to 86F.. I wish I had some more scientific data to back that up, other than manufacturers stating these claims, but with my last grow, I had a week where I didn't use the AC in my apartment because it wasn't that warm out, and my tent saw 84F+ the whole week, and the plants showed no signs of wilting or stress.. In fact, the only time they did is when the RH kept dipping below 30%.. Then I started getting rampant Cal/Mag and P deficiencies.. A little nute adjustment, and I was good to go!!

What's your plan for LST to keep 'em small?? :)

Looking good in there.

Mate I love your set up - its like some crazy weed lab! I´ve seen spacebuckets before but not spacestations!

I usually do LST, but this time I am not sure how much I will do... I actually have decent vertical space to work with compared to most buckets. I will lower them probably 1 or 2 lids when the plants get a little more mature. Right now they are a full 24 inches away. The horizontal space seems to run out just as fast in a bucket as the vertical so I just dunno yet how I will do it. I have another plant in a bigger space that is also photoperiod and I will probably try and top that plant. If that goes OK I might try that here.... Still not sure..

Glad to have you along man! Hopefully it isn't too much of a trainwreck haha...

Space stations hahaha that is hilarious! Thanks man, I am glad you like it. Honestly the 1/2 inch hose looks cool but is a bit insane lol... 1/4inch would probably have been fine. I dunno.... it seems to work ok for now so I will just keep it that way until this grow is over at least.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Wow! That is a tidy setup! Will definitely keep tabs on this grow!
