This is my very first grow and I don't have a loupe yet. Ordered, but coming from China.

Stunted my plants by 1. having the light turned up way too high early and 2. I had it way too close

Took pics with the wife's dslr. To me, it looks like there's a lot of amber trichomes, but I'm on day 49. It's a Mephisto freebee and the parents both are supposed to finish at about 65-70 days.

Am I looking at the wrong part of the plant?

Sure are lots of amber. Stress can make them finish faster I think. Thinking of stressing a plant of mine to try and force it to flower. Can you get pics of the whole plant? What strain? Breeder?

Mephisto 24k x Cosmic Queen. I call it Cosmic Gold. This is a pic I took 3 days ago with my phone. I'm sure normally I'd want to let it go longer, swell etc but I don't want the potency to degrade. First grow. Not sure what to do at this point...

Tough one. Definitely lots of amber. The pics were not clear enough to tell if she also has lots of clear trichs or if they are all cloudy for the most part.
Lots of white pistols still but that does not necessarily mean anything. Purely anecdotal but my smaller plants have finished faster. She is a good looking plant and she is small. I think you pop another bean and get ready to take her down. Have you noticed the bud expanding or is he at a standstill?

First grow so I feel like I check it every 5 minutes. Hard to tell, but it seems to be thickening up a bit still. I'll try to get a couple better pics when the light comes back on.
I feel like it started flowering early due to the stress.

So, if I can find some clear trichomes, it's definitely not ready? Can't wait for my next grow. I feel like I've learned a ton on my first one.

All you can do is wait or pull the trigger. She will get you high. LOL
