New Grower Amber Trichomes on Autos

Is it just me or do others also find that autos don't produce many amber trics? I've let plants go as long as 14 weeks, to the point where all the primary and secondary fan leaves were gone and the bud leaves were all brown and still no amber. 100% cloudy but few if any are amber.

Im with you muddy!! I found the afghan dominant strains to be the only ones that turn amber. anyone noticed this?

I agree and just go by the look of the plant...turning leaves and all fall off...it's time to harvest.

Yeah i will get on board this one.

ICU#2 gave me legit ambers. I don't remember if i got many on my Mi5's. Did you get any from the mi5's muddy?

We should be looking for yellow and amber while breeding, if we see it. High THC thai strains have a sort of yellow tint to the THC as well as the amber.

wonder if the autos having a higher cbd levels play a role in that.

Well CBD sort of counter acts THC affects in the body. So there is some sort of thing going on.

So if we see all cloudy when we harvest, the couldy can't be the THC. Or we'd be getting nice and ripped from autos. There wouldn't be as many complaints. If the amber is assumed to be CBD's, then we need to locate the other color of the higher THC trics, and start selecting those for breeding. ORR!! we assume we have been looking at the wrong colors, cloudy being CBD's and the ambers are THC. Yellow being the THC variants THCV/A ect.

Or am i just more stoned than usual this morning?

sounds like a good thought and it would make sense really. thc turns amber at finish wo why wouldn't cbd be milky cause depending on when you harvest it does change the effects.so i think it would be safe to say the cbds are white in color.

The only wrench in the system is. It's been accepted that when the THC degrades it degrades into CBD's...

Just to make it more confusing.

So if we started with CBD's how did they degrade into THC?
We are backwards some place here. Where it is noooo body knows.. lol.. Yeah maybe i am just good and riped.. Raskal in the morning is like killing a fly with a shotgun. Maybe a tad overkill.. hahah

If i just had a gas chromagrapher sitting around i could use it to test the trichs at different stages of growth. LOL

maybe its like when you heat up water in a pressure cooker then let it cool. it goes from liquid to gas then back to liquid. maybe the middle ground is the turning point for cbd to thc then back to cbd. but then that throws the milky idea out the window.
