New Grower Amber Trichomes on Autos

I too have noticed that the trics are slow to change to amber. I am trying to go at 9 weeks minimum but closer to 10. I might even start going out to 11. As for any kind of comparison, my first group of bhd will be seeded so the potency will suffer a little.

Ill do a early harvest then a report on it and if you do a late run on it we can combine the reports on it and see what we come up with TD

Last year...Did some jems and onyx. Both were real slow to go amber and then only a slight amount at that. After drying they would be amber. Like almost all amber.

No amber on Mi5s. I've done multiple grows, indoors and out, and none. The last grow was indoors under an LED. I had seeded a couple branches so wanted to leave them long to insure the seeds were good and mature. 14.5 weeks and no amber. The only strain that I've gotten good amber off of was White Russian.

Is Robert C. Clarke still around? This sounds like a project for someone like him.

Yeah i will get on board this one.

ICU#2 gave me legit ambers. I don't remember if i got many on my Mi5's. Did you get any from the mi5's muddy?

We should be looking for yellow and amber while breeding, if we see it. High THC thai strains have a sort of yellow tint to the THC as well as the amber.

as someone knew to the autos im glad i read up on this article interesting..good work guys.

I have come up with another aproach to the amber question. I might try cutting the light back to something just shy of 12/12 for an extra week at the end. I have read that you can speed the resin maturation by cutting the light cycle. It was presented to me as a trick to make photo period plants finish faster on 10/14. It leads me to beleive that their might be a little conection between dark hours and the degradation of trics from cloudy to amber. I can not remember where I read it but if it made it past my BS filter and stuck in my brain then it must have been a credible source. I also seem to remember there was some empirical evidence as well.

Guys...I'll get in to help when I can..
But..
Yes..AF's DO Amber...

But same as photo girls..some just don't.

FullD and I are gonna Show which ones do and which ones don't as we grow them out.

I found the afghan dominant strains to be the only ones that turn amber. anyone noticed this?

This Could be why on mine..

certainly the ALF#3 and the DC crosses are the most predominant ambers..
and..
everyone knows A.L.F...is .A.fghan L.ittle F.uck
and the DC's are simply ALF#3 plus DC...
so they are the most predominant Afghans too.
