Got the rest of my nutes ordered today.... when they arrive I will begin the routine. I'll be going with AN grow/micro/bloom/voodoo juice/B 52 during veg stages and adding in big bud and overdrive during the flowering phase.
Ok well I can't sleep.... and when I can't sleep and I'm the only one up I fuck with stuff lol... I was sitting at the opening of my tent looking at sour crack 1. She is looking awesome but I see the tiny new growth under the main fan leaves blocking them from the 600w mh and I can't help but think.. I bet she would love some side lighting. So I dug out a fixture from my old setup slapped some 6500k CFL in it and here she is. I'll rotate her each day.
What do you guys think of supplemental CFL side lighting? I am a believer since my last grow.
I'm attempting to cram as much light as possible into these future branches and colas. I'll leave it if I see a spur in under growth then pull in a week or 10 days or so and let the stretch begin
Hey Atrain. I made it. Got your PM. Sorry about the delay. Last time i stopped by the site I couldn't log in cus it was being upgraded, although that was a couple weeks ago now at least!
Anyway my feedback. 600w in 3x3 foot wide and 5 foot high tent should be more than enough. I think if you want more light think about lowering it down closer. At that size the shouldn't really need side lighting. Not that it can hurt especially just little CFL's. But it's a sign to me that maybe possibly your main 600 watt is just a few inches too high?
Secondly the baby dragons on page 6 look a little wet, hence the dark brown stem and the brown left tip. Let them dry a little. Apart from that they look grand.
The Sour Cracks are looking great. I reckon they could take just a little bit more food though. I always try to aim to have them on the darker shade of green. It means they have a better store of food in their leaves and are much less likely to have any deficiencies down the lane. My advice would be to keep pushing their feed every single time you feed them by a few percent. What this does is increase the pressure around the route system, slowly but surely, forcing more and more nutrients into the roots and up into the plant. If you do this slowly and gradually the plant won't freak out and it will be far more able to take it, than a plant that less periodically has it's food strength increased. Kinda like a body builder who goes to the gym each time and get a little stronger each time. If you're having them a darker green you can also give them more light as they'll have the source of food to build their 'muscle' so to speak
Thanks for the input much appreciated I'm otw out of town be back tom and I'll lower the light. And as far as feed I just started feed yesterday and tom will be my next I'll ease them up gradually as you reccomended
